Lucky St. Patrick’s Day Banner: Show Me the Green Challenge at RRR
Oh, the Top ‘o the Mornin’ to ye, my friends! ‘Tis truly a glorious day here on the blog, because it’s time for the Show Me the Green Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and I’m sharing my Lucky St. Patrick’s Day Banner with you. It’s sure to make your Irish eyes shine with gorgeous green ribbons and vintage St. Patrick’s Day art from Polly’s Paper Studio. Take a look:
Now if that doesn’t make you break into a chorus of “O Danny Boy” then we are without hope.
I printed the St. Patrick’s Day Bingo cards onto matte photo paper and then layered them onto pretty green paper I found in my stash. Each pennant is backed with green ticking canvas and sewn onto Cream Mesh Ribbon and Emerald Green Satin Ribbon with a silver metallic edge. I love the little bit of shimmer the satin ribbon adds to the design. It looks like this little leprechaun found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and used it to make this pretty little heart shaped locket.
I added beautiful Emerald Tartan bows on either end of this lucky St. Patrick’s Day banner, and tied little streamers between the pennants. Clusters of Off White Chrysanthemums and green Sweetheart Blossoms make this banner feel like a party is about to happen.
I added ephemera that I found in my stash along with both green and white doilies. This is such a cheery banner with all the bright colors and happy images, it makes me feel like dancing a jig! I hope this lucky St. Patrick’s Day banner has brightened your day. I know I certainly enjoyed making it!
Be sure to visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to find links to all the other designer’s “Show Me the Green” Challenge projects. Then create your own green project using ribbon or trim and load it up on the RRR Blog. I’ll be popping by to take a peek, and I can’t wait to see what you make!
May the road rise up to meet you!
Cheerio,
kathy
Wow, this is really great. Love the greens you used and it seriously looks like a banner one would purchase in a store!
I love your banners all most as much as I love your mini albums! This is just stunning my friend and that luscious ribbon is to die for!
Beautiful as always Kathy and I love all the clever embellishments and words. The horseshoe and lucky numbers are great. Such a lovely selection of ribbons , flowers and lovely ephemera. X
This is fabulous.
Another gorgeous banner, and gorgeous layers of ephemera. You inspired me with your last banner, and I made one last week. Beautiful! PINNED!
Beautiful, Kathy! So much fun and chock full of St Paddy’s Day cheer!
Hugs,
Kris
Very beautiful banner. Love the choice of paper, flowers and ribbon that you put into this. Fantastic job!
Kathy, I have to make a bridal shower banner for an April shower. They want it to say “She Said Yes.” My dilemma is should I put She on one banner, Said on the next, and Yes on the last one for a total of five-seven banners…or do just one letter on each banner, for a total of 12 banners?? It will probably be hung on the front of the head table. What is your thought on this?
What a fabulous banner, Kathy! I love all the layers. This is so gorgeous!
Looks like a lot of work……it’s breathtaking!!!!
