Majestic Dream Tag Album Tutorial for Wonderful Wednesday
Hello, Friends! This Ciao Bella Majestic Dream Tag Album Tutorial is our April 2025 Tag of the Month. Filled with all the vibrant colors of spring it brings to mind blooming forsythia, delicate iris, flirty hydrangea and the ever faithful poppy.
Poppies for Remembrance
Poppies hold a special place in my heart. Are you old enough to remember when the American Legion used to sell pretty paper poppies during the weeks before Memorial Day? Well, I am. Although I grew up in a family where spare change was a rarity, my mother somehow always managed to set aside a few dimes to purchase poppies for us to wear in our buttonholes. It’s a cherished memory. Poppies always remind me of my mom.
Did you know that poppies are the symbol for Memorial Day? When I was in grade school, we had to memorize the poem “In Flander’s Field” which talks about the poppies growing “between the crosses row on row.” You can read more about this tradition, the true story of how the poem was written, and read the moving poem HERE.
A Two Sheet Wonder
Sometimes an idea for a project takes on a life of its own and leads you down an unexpected pathway. My original intent was to make a little one sheet wonder (a project that can be completed using one sheet of paper for construction) with tag pockets. But before I knew what was happening, this lovely little 5″ x 6 1/2″ album was coming into the world. How did that happen?
You will find 2 sections within the album, each constructed using one sheet of 12×12 cardstock. The base is very simple to make, but affords all kinds of creative possibilities.
Where are the Tags?
The first section of the album has a fun double pocket in the middle. It’s the perfect spot to tuck in a couple of my Kathy by Design Scalloped Tags. Spoiler alert: there might just be another pair of pockets hiding behind the tags. And, there just might be more tags tucked in there. You’ll have to watch today’s video to find out!

To make it easier for you to create your own version of this project, I’ve provided basic measurements and instructions in the description box below the video on my YouTube channel.
I hope I shared some tips and tricks that you can use in your next crafty adventure. Please take a moment and share your thoughts about the project and the paper collection in the comments below.

The mixed media with this project adds to the texture and depth, especially with the colours you chose. I am going to have to make some of those inside pockets and pages you tutored in this weekends project as they are the perfect fit for your tags. Yes we are finally home and the arty space is tidy and ready to go. It has been very wet while we were away and thankfully is drying out so paper arts can be a go!
Love this, Kathy. Will surely use over and over again. Weren’t the poppies made of crepe paper? Can’t remember.
Kathy, I just love your tag projects. Got to find a Cuppa and watch.
Thank you for this video-you definitely shared some tips and tricks! The tag album is jam packed with goodies and the paper collection is perfect for it. Yes I do remember the paper poppies from the American Legion! Can’t wait to see next weeks banner!
