Make & Take Tuesday: March Gnome of the Month Folio Tutorial

Hello, Friends!  It’s time to share this March Gnome of the Month Folio Tutorial for this week’s Make & Take Tuesday episode.  This is the second tutorial in this year-long series.  You can find the January and February Gnome of the Month tutorials HERE.

How cute is this Gnome Leprechaun?  (Lepregnome?  Gnomechaun?  Hmmmm…)  Bold shades of green, orange and white make this folio stand out from the crowd.

Somewhere along the line, I nabbed this green jeweled ladybug charm.  I could not resist adding it to the charm cluster along with the flower and shamrock charms.

Paint a Tim Holtz wooden frame with ivory chalk paint.  Then back it with clear cardstock, foam strips and fill it with magically delicious shaker elements to make a festive shaker frame for the cover.  I think the top hat and shamrock button add a lovely bit of flair to the design.

A Peek Inside

The format and design of the March folio follows the pattern for January and February.  This makes it very quick and easy to put together with the March papers and stickers.

And seriously…I dare you not to smile at these winsome gnomes!

Pockets, pockets and more pockets create lots of room for mini folios and tags.

You’ll learn how to create all these fun elements in the video tutorial below.

If you’re ready to get your Irish on, just click play.  You might want to get in the habit of keeping a notebook and pencil by your side so you can write down all the measurements as we go along.

So that’s it for this episode of Make & Take Tuesday!  I hope you are enjoying this series.  If you’re making the folios along with me, please let me know in the comments below.  I’d love to hear how it’s going.

And, stay tuned for more gnomes!  All this week I’m working on the 2nd quarter installment of A Year with My Gnomies Boxed Folio series for The Button Farm Club!

You’ll find a linked supply list below this post.

Thanks for stopping by!
