Not So Scary Scarecrow for the Really Reasonable Ribbon September 2023 Blog Hop
Hello, Friends! This Not So Scary Scarecrow is my inspiration piece for the Really Reasonable Ribbon September 2023 Blog Hop. Welcome to the hop! You should be coming here from Ginny’s gorgeous blog. Our theme for the month is Halloween, and that’s what inspired me to pull out some beautiful ribbons, trims and mulberry flowers from my RRR Stash. .
TIP: Add a textured border to your card design with layered ribbon! Use 1/2″ Scor-Tape to secure Autumn Orange Shimmer Satin to your card. Then top it with 1/4″ Scor-Tape and Autumn Bold Vertical Stripe Grosgrain Ribbon. This combination “ties” all these fall colors together, plus it adds great texture to your card design.
Autumn Trims and Flowers
Top your Autumn Orange Shimmer Satin Bow with some Halloween Baker’s Twine. Don’t forget to tie some tiny Baker’s Twine Bows to tuck into the Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemum and Sweetheart Blossom floral cluster below your sweet scarecrow for the win.
A Peek Inside
Here’s a peek at the inside of the card. Of course, I added a pocket with a cute pumpkin tea/gift wallet tucked inside.
And you just have to have at least once cup of Pumpkin Spice something or other to make it really, truly feel like fall!

Kathy, what a fantastic Halloween card! That little scarecrow is just so cute and looks ready to do the job protecting his pumpkin patch. I am smiling at this fun fall card…LOVE the burlap fabric leaves! Inside is sweet…LOVE that pumpkin spice tea is tucked in. Wonderfully fun card!
Well now, this card is a bit of fun! We have just finished a pumpkin, roasted with other veges and lamb, delicious indeed. The ribbon is bang on and hot spiced pumkin toddy oh really nummy.
