Not So Scary Scarecrow for the Really Reasonable Ribbon September 2023 Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  This Not So Scary Scarecrow is my inspiration piece for the Really Reasonable Ribbon September 2023 Blog Hop.  Welcome to the hop! You should be coming here from Ginny’s gorgeous blog.  Our theme for the month is Halloween, and that’s what inspired me to pull out some beautiful ribbons, trims and mulberry flowers from my RRR Stash. .

TIP:  Add a textured border to your card design with layered ribbon!  Use 1/2″ Scor-Tape to secure Autumn Orange Shimmer Satin to your card.  Then top it with 1/4″ Scor-Tape and Autumn Bold Vertical Stripe Grosgrain Ribbon.  This combination “ties” all these fall colors together, plus it adds great texture to your card design.

Autumn Trims and Flowers

Top your Autumn Orange Shimmer Satin Bow with some Halloween Baker’s Twine. Don’t forget to tie some tiny Baker’s Twine Bows to tuck into the Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemum and Sweetheart Blossom floral cluster below your sweet scarecrow for the win.

A Peek Inside

Here’s a peek at the inside of the card.  Of course, I added a pocket with a cute pumpkin tea/gift wallet tucked inside.

And you just have to have at least once cup of Pumpkin Spice something or other to make it really, truly feel like fall!

On With the Hop!

Now hop on over and see what sweetness Cheryl has prepared for you. If  you get lost along the way, you can find the complete hop list on the RRR Blog.  You’ll want to be sure to finish up there and answer Bonnie’s Question of the Month so that your name can be added to the drawing for a $10 RRR Gift Certificate and the FREE Digital Stamp Set of your choice.

You can find a linked supply list below this post.

Enjoy the hop, my friends!

Kathy, what a fantastic Halloween card! That little scarecrow is just so cute and looks ready to do the job protecting his pumpkin patch. The fall colors and images are making me wish for Fall weather and pumpkin pie with a big dollop of whipped cream on top! Thank you for sharing this sweet card. Hugs!
