P13 Stitched With Love Folio Completed!  Crafty City YouTube Hop Project

Hello, Friends!  About 3 weeks ago, I introduced you to this lovely P13 Stitched With Love Collection. The kit was provided to me for a YouTube hop celebrating Crafty City’s 10 year anniversary.   Here’s a reminder of what came in my kit:

Crafty City 10 Year Anniversary YouTube HopToday I’m here to share the completed folio project with you.

P13 Stitched with Love Folio by Kathy Clement for Crafty City YouTube Hop PHoto 01

This 8×8 “made from scratch” trifold folio turned out even better than I had hoped.  Sewing themed projects always remind me of my mom.  She was a master seamstress and her favorite color was pink.  I spent many, many happy hours as a young girl sitting beside her as she stitched up curtains, dresses, pillows and even coats and bonnets for my baby sister.  The hum of a sewing machine takes me right back to those cozy moments.  Mom also taught me how to embroider…and she tried to teach me how to knit & crochet.  The embroidery lessons “took”.  The sewing, knitting and crochet lessons, not so much!

I hope you’ll enjoy this video tour of my completed project.  The folio is filled with lots of sweet surprises.  And I even managed to create a lovely stack of greeting cards using the leftover bits.

Dear Kathy …this little album folio is just gorgeous!!! I luv every single detail you have put into this sewing folio …the lacey butterflies …(which pop up everywhere) …the buttons on the cover … the stitching …the sewing embellishments in the shaker …the embroidery hoop (another great idea for a shaker) and all your flowers with these beautiful papers! And talk about beautiful cards ….all your beautiful card creations from left over scraps are gorgeously done …another Kathy genius! I knew I should have gotten this kit too! …And luv those precious stories you tell …still waiting for that memory book!

I loved every bit of this use of the kit. You always do a beautiful and creative job and it is so inspiring. I want to go to my craft room and get all the leftover papers I have out to make cards with. I have a question. When you stitch a panel for the front of a card, do you stitch it to the card base, or just stitch for looks on the single layer of paper? It adds so much character to the projects, and I never think to do it.

This is just stunning Kathy. A lot of work went into the making of this one. It’s a good thing we like what we do & it sure does show when everyone else can see just what it is that you/we do! Be well, be safe & have a most Joyful Easter to your entire family. Hugs

I am always inspired by your project videos and this one has me running to my craft room to “get my craft on”!
The book is beautiful with so many wonderful details. That you were able to make 6 incredible cards with all the leftovers is amazing and encouraged me to make cards from the bits and bobs that are left from a kit or paper collection I have used. Thank you for all the great ideas.

Kathy, I love your stories about your childhood. I used to sit beside my grandma as she sewed so many things and also taught me how to sew. Any sewing theme just warms my heart. This folio is absolutely gorgeous and this paper collection is just beautiful. Love, love, love the pretty buttons and lacy butterflies as well as your lovely shaker window! Going now to watch your video! Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
