Peacock Paisley Note Cards Tutorial

Peacock Paisley Note Cards Tutorial

Hello, Friends!  And Happy Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!  Today I have a CAS Peacock Paisley Note Cards Tutorial to share with you.  Yes!  You heard me right!  I said Clean and Simple!  Not what you usually expect when you visit my blog, and the hardest style for me to achieve, but sometimes, the unexpected happens, and that is what makes life so interesting.  Take a peeky:

When I receive a new design team collection, I like to sit down and stamp all the stamps on plain white cardstock using black ink. It helps me really get a feel for how I want to use the stamps in a given collection.  Well, I was floored by how stunning these Peacock Paisley images were when simply stamped in black and white , and I decided to create these CAS note cards to really showcase their incredible beauty.

Peacock Paisley Note Cards 11Look at the gorgeous detail on this Daisy Flourish Stamp!  It is beautiful when colored and embellished, of course, but how wonderful to have stamps in my stash that I can use to create a 10 minute card when I need to!

This Feathery Peacock stamp has a wonderful almost dreamlike quality to it.  Talk about elegant!  It fits the bill perfectly!

Peacock Paisley Note Cards 04Here I used the budding daisy from the Feathered Daisy Stamp set as the card focal, and added the beautiful little wisps from the Daisy Flourish Stamp as corner accents.

Peacock Paisley Note Cards 02I did do a couple of simple things to dress these cards up.  First, I added a square knot tied with Really Reasonable Ribbon Aqua Delicate Stitched Satin.  It’s the perfect compliment to the envelopes I made with Stampin’ Up Pool Party Cardstock.  I lined each envelope with the stunning paisley print from the Peacock Paisley Paper Collection.   I added another little torn strip of this paper to the front of each envelope.  You can bundle these 4 Pretty Peacock Note Cards up with the envelopes and tie with a ribbon to present as a gift, or just keep them so that when you need to write a quick note, you have a pretty card handy.

I know you are probably surprised to find such simple cards here on my blog…the girl who is known for loads of layers and embellies tucked into every possible crevice!  But sometimes it’s nice to let a beautiful stamped image take center stage all by itself.  And, for those of you who are timid about stamping, this is a great collection!  As you can see, it’s can be quick and easy to produce an amazing card without a whole lot of technique.

You’ll find the complete supply list and tutorial below.  I’d love to hear what you think of these CAS Peacock Paisley Note Cards in the comment section below.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

Beautiful and elegant. Reminds me of fine stationary a lady would have used. I enjoyed your Graphic 45 audition too. God’s best to you on that front.

They really are. Heartfelt Creations put such detail in the stamps. The peacocki is elegant, as are the flowers and flourishes. I love this set. And the note cards are a work of simplicity and elegance.

I absolutely adore them. Where can I find the teal trim paper? Since my mother passeed last month I have had a lot of cards to write. I would love to make some of these. I just need the paper and I know where to get the ribbon already! Thanks Kathy.

Margie, the base card is made with teal cardstock, Stampin’ Up Pool Party. Then I stamped on white parchment paper and trimmed it so that the teal border would show all the way around. If you look at the bottom of my Heartfelt Creations Wednesday posts, I always have a tutorial and complete supply list with my Heartfelt Creations projects so that you can easily replicate them.
