Photoplay October Gnome of the Month Shaker Folio Tutorial
Hello, Friends! It’s time to roll our the Photoplay October Gnome of the Month Shaker Folio Tutorial on this Make & Take Tuesday! So grab a cuppa and a snack for sustenance as we go Trick or Treating with this super duper cute paper collection.
Seriously…does it get any cuter than gnomes dressed up for Halloween? I don’t think so!
This 6×6 shaker folio cover features novelty buttons from Buttons Galore & More and an altered Beautiful Board frame from Reneabouquets. I’ll be sure to link all the products in the supply list below this post.
Top the Baker’s Twine Trim with some spook-tacular Halloween charms for the perfect finishing touch.
Don’t you just love this Halloween stripe pattern on the back cover? This finishes our tour of the outside of this little folio. Do you dare take a peek inside? Follow me!
A Peek Inside
Each folio in this year-long series follows the same basic layout and design. If you’re new to the series, you can get caught up on the previous 9 folios HERE.
I did change up the design a little bit this month, because the images on the Cards page are laid out differently. So you’ll learn how to make some new mini-folio inserts this go round.
The center pocket is as stuffed as a Trick or Treat bag at the end of the night!
Only these treats won’t cause any cavities!

If you’d like to follow along and see how quick and easy it is to make this month’s folio, please enjoy the video tutorial on YouTube.
Only two folios left to go, my friends, then we’ll have the complete series all wrapped up. I’ve really enjoyed sharing these with you, and I hope you’ve enjoyed them, too.
Remember: even if you are not a “gnome person” you can use the basic folio tutorial with any paper or theme you like. It’s such a versatile and easy folio to make that I know I’ll keep on using it as time goes on.

Oh Kathy, this is the cutest Halloween folio I’ve ever seen. That little pumpkin gnome is so darling! Just look at all the fantastic embellishments you have added. I could look at this all day long! I love the haunted house and owl charms and the shaker elements are so perfect for Halloween! Love it! Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
Change it up/shake it up/take it up a notch – mission accomplished! Let’s say it – Hip, Hip, Hooray for boo-tiful project! I was entertained by, got a kick out of, and delighted in this project series. Oh boy, what a frugal use of paper using the branding strip to fabricate the pocket (waste not want not)! I always learn something new from your videos. I am still struggling to determine what is cuter those pumpkin faces or gnomes!?!! I think I have to call it a tie this time. The shaker elements from Buttons Galore are spook-tacular. They have the best variety and cutest selections; well worth taking a trip to their site to look at their products! Thanks Kathy, this was delightful and induced an ear-to-ear smile this morning.
What a great card Kathy! My Brother-in-law has a B-day on Halloween so just may be the card for him. Be well, be safe & TYFS
Love the bright Halloween colors on this folio. So cute! Thank you for sharing.
Wow, lots of shaker goodness. Cute Kathy, very cute. I do love Halloween but oddly enough I don’t have a lot of halloween stuff for card making, go figure. Have a lovely day. We have sunshine and cooler temperatures, which both are welcomed.
