Photoplay Thankful Thanksgiving Tags Tutorial for World Card Making Day 2022
Hello, Friends! Let’s celebrate World Card Making Day with a Photoplay Thankful Thanksgiving Tags Tutorial, shall we? Some of you loved my Christmas Treat Tags Tutorial so much that you asked me to create a similar project for Thanksgiving. Wish granted!
These little tags are so much fun to make and to give! They are a perfect way to dress up your Thanksgiving table. They make great little gifts for friends and neighbors, too.
Each little tag has a box style pocket on the front filled with a cookie treat, tea bag, honey stick and a miniature greeting card (3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″).
The tag base is a Graphic 45 Regular Craft Tag. It’s very easy to cover the tag with designer paper if you have the Regular Tags Die.
We’re using Photoplay’s lovely “Thankful” paper collection to dress up our tags. Then we use scraps from covering the tags to decorate the goodies inside.
I’ve had these metal embellishments for over 10 years now. Sometimes you buy a thing, and it just has to wait for the right project to come along. This was it.
You can make this tag design work for any occasion or theme. Just change up the papers and the embellishments, and you are good to go.

Do you plan to do some crafting today? It’s a very blustery day here in North Carolina with the remnants of Ian blowing past us. It’s perfect weather for staying inside and making something beautiful!

Oh my goodness. i can’t wait to get started.
These tags are so detailed! Just gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks-what a nice treat on this gloomy day.
All round wonderful, the tag construction, layouts and embellies. I see some Christmas tags like these this year for the arty friends, filled with bits and pieces of ephemera for their stash. Thanks Kathy!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I love when you make ANY kind of tag projects! They are my favorite tutorials to watch. I think I need that Photoplay collection, it is just gorgeous!
These are amazing! Lots of yumminess packed into these little projects, LOVE THEM. Hoping you are okay now from Ian, so much water flooding everywhere down there! Be safe.
Kathy – I love the decorative tags, and love seeing them on gifts. These would be so cute at each table setting for Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you for sharing that creative mind you have!!!
You can’t beat a cool tag…my favorite paper expression, I believe. My first exposure to decorative tags came years ago when I was introduced to the work of Sarah Lugg who was the Artist in Residence for Victoria Magazine. I believe I sent you a small book of her collage work.
