Happy New Year Card with Graphic 45 Place in Time/Really Reasonable Ribbon
Hello Friends! Did you all have a very Merry Christmas? We sure did! We all had a bit of a Christmas cold to deal with, but I still managed to have loads of fun…and eat too many cookies! Yikes! Now we’re counting down to New Year’s Eve. I thought I’d whip up a quick and easy Happy New Year’s Card to share with you today.
Once again, I dug into my Place in Time Scraps to make this sweetly vintage card. Since the pieces were all mostly pre-cut, it only took 20 minutes to make. I love that about working with scraps! A White Glitz Ribbon bow really glammed it up and got it ready to party on New Year’s Eve.
Here’s a closer look. The edges of the ribbon have a lovely iridescent finish that sparkles like bubbles in a champagne glass! I topped the bow cluster off with an Ivory Burlap String Bow, a hydrangea blossom and a little chippie from the collection.
Wishing you all a very safe and happy New Year’s Eve. We’ll stay in and watch my favorite holiday movie: “It’s a Wonderful Life.” And, I might just munch on a cookie or two!
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheerio,
kathy

Absolutely Gorgeous!!!
This card is a great way to begin the new year. The white flowers/ribbon give it that fresh, start of a year extra touch. Thanks or the idea.
Happy New Year blessings to you Kathy and your family. I hope 2017 is a happy, healthy and peaceful one my friend. I’ll be staying in and snuggling up from the cold although hoping to see my friend during the day. I enjoyed Christmas day, it turned out so much better than I expected including nursing a horrible chest infection. Hope your cold says good-by with 2016. Your card is beautiful as always, you never fail to inspire. Hug Carol xxx
Beautiful card Kathy and I especially love the little boy/girl with the dog and the bottom. Very cute. I tried to leave a comment on your other post with your three projects on it and couldn’t, but I wanted to say that the banner blew my socks off!!! Almost literally. 🙂 It was/is stunning.
Happy New Year to you Kathy, we are just going to the neighbours to celebrate kinda quietly perhaps. I rarely make it to midnight. Have a great time.
Dear Kathy,
Visiting your blog is just the thing I need to do on a day like today! Seeing your beautiful creations always makes me smile! I love all the sweet children’s images and the details you’ve added. Fabulous card, and unbelievable this is a quick card! You do amazing things with your “scraps”! I hope you are feeling better and you enjoy that evening in with your hubby! “It’s a Wonderful Life” is my favorite Christmas movie, too and will get a second look on New Year’s Eve! meanwhile, my Mom goes to a big party and rings in the New Year! Go figure! Hugs to you!
