Pretty Purple Posies Card Embellishment Tutorial for Throwback Thursday
Hello, Friends! It’s Throwback Thursday, and I have this Purple Posies Card Embellishment Tutorial to share with you. I was in a purple mood, so I went digging in the Closet of Inspiration and Delight looking for royal hued goodies. My eye fell upon Prima Lavender (2017) and the plan for this card began to form in my mind’s eye.
Since I had a healthy pile of scraps to work with, I decided that this would be one of my “use your scraps” creations. This means I limit myself to paper that has already cut and used in a previous project. It’s always an adventure to see what is available in those stacks of pretty paper scraps, isn’t it?

The pretty purple posies are a gift from my friend Becky In Montana. And the pretty wreath is cut with a new die from Crafters Companion. It’s called Entwined Wreath, and I just love it! Cut two layers for maximum impact. Then put foam tabs between the layers to really make i stand out.
A Peek Inside
By the time I was done finishing the inside of this card, I used up a nice pile of scrap papers. That always makes me feel so good!
Add a flap and pocket to the top of the card. Then tuck in a journal card. You can add a photo, or just write a nice note here.
And, of course, there is a little treat pocket! This one holds a gift wrapped tea bag, chocolate, and a bookmark along with another little journal card. I’ll show you how to make the the little tea wallet and chocolate wallet in the video tutorial below.

An apt desription a pretty purple posie! The wreath die will be very handy in your stash, just change the colour and it changes the look no matter the season , it is one of those must haves in the stash. Lovely work Kathy and easy to do hints for wrapping the gifts in the pocket. I always enjoy the way you bring leftover bits and pieces together.
This card is beautiful and the fact that it is made from scraps amazes me! Thank you for the turorial.
