Prima 25 & Peppermint Card Folio Tutorial with Christmas Market and Candy Cane Lane
Hello, Friends! For our Wonderful Wednesday post this week I have a gorgeous Prima 25 & Peppermint Card Folio Tutorial to share with you. It’s our Birthday Card of the Month project, but it also works perfectly as a Christmas Card. Prima Christmas Market and Candy Cane Lane papers mix beautifully with the 25 & Peppermint collection, so I invited them to the party along with some pretty handmade poinsettias (tutorial NEXT week!) and other goodies from my stash.
Would you like to see more? I thought perhaps you might!
Dimensional Belly Band
The base for this sweet 5″ x 7″ card folio is part accordion fold, part folio, part pop-up and all the way wonderful! All the inner folds, flips and flaps are kept neat and tidy thanks to the dimensional belly band.
TIP: Die cut and stack a trio of Tim Holtz Tea Time cups on the front of the pop up element. Then tuck cute ephemera bits into the slits. Keep the front page of the pop up flat so that the dimensional belly band will slip over it with ease.
The Pop Up Element
Our pop up element is attached to a cute accordion fold panel so that when the card is opened, it pops out for display. It may look complicated, but you’ll see how easy it is to make in the video tutorial below.
The right hand panel is a fun flap page. Wait ’til you see what’s hidden behind it!
Flip Up and Flip Down
Not only is there room here to write a nice note, but there’s a hidden magnetic closure to hold everything neatly in place. What happens if you flip that cute ski bunny page?
Well, you find a darling little snow angel pocket with a mini folio tucked in. And what happens if you flip this page down?
Eureka! You find a sweet little pocket page with even more goodies tucked inside!
Dig out your envelope punch board to make an adorable tea bag and honey crystal holder. Then mat a tag on scraps of cardstock and create a pretty tassel topper with fibers and yarns.
