Prima Home Baker Jumbo Tag Tutorial for Wonderful Wednesday Tag of the Month
Hello, Friends! Today I have a Prima Home Baker Jumbo Tag Tutorial to share with you. It’s time for our Wonderful Wednesday Tag of the Month, and this one couldn’t be cuter! I’m going to show you how to transform plain corrugate packaging into a delightful 6 1/2″ x 9″ interactive mixed media tag. Good times, my friends, good times!
Tags in a Tag
Whenever I receive a new package of scrapbooking goodies in the mail, there’s usually a nice 12×12 panel of corrugate board inserted as packing. I never throw these pieces away,, as I can use them when I ship my own Etsy packages. But, as you will see today, you can also use these sturdy panels to create amazing mixed media projects.
Our tag base is made from (2) 6 1/2″ x 9″ panels of corrugate that I’ve glued together to create a really thick, sturdy tag base. A little distressing (I’ll show you how in the video tutorial) a little paint, a little patterned paper, and voila! You have a delicious Home Baker Jumbo Tag instead of boring packaging!
Add a pocket and some cute little tags, and you’ve got a really winning creating on your hands!
Both Sides Now
You know that old saying, “No matter how flat a pancake is, it has two sides?” Well, the same is true for today’s Tag of the Month. I’ve decorated the back side of the tag with a really fun mini folio feature that includes a waterfall.
But that’s not all! There’s a hidden pocket for recipe cards and a cute little mousie stirring up something yummy in the kitchen. Maybe it’s pancakes, who know?

Really enjoyed this tutorial and the way you altered the packaging creating a fabulous tag base. These papers are a delight and tell a story with each page turned and flipped . Anything to do with tags ticks all my boxes, love it! Just back from seeing my dear arty friend a few hours drive away up into the hills. We are both motivated to be creative and will get together again later in the year and share Kathy videos too! There is a tiny nip in the air early in the morning that is pleasant, are you getting a hint of spring yet?
These tags are adorbs. Putting cocoa brown with blue is one of my favorite combinations. My email did not have a tutorial link. Odd. I will check out your youtube channel.
OK it was my slow computer!! Now I have the link.
So so darling with that Kathy touch of awesome!
Love this tag-It is just too cute!! Thank you for your detailed videos-can’t wait to try making this one.
