Really Reasonable Ribbon May 2018 Blog Hop: Red White and Blue Patriotic Greeting Card
Hello, Ribbon Lovers! And Happy Mother’s Day! Welcome to the May 2018 Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop! You should be coming here from Karen’s lovely blog. With the summer holidays fast approaching, it’s perfect timing to share this Red White and Blue Patriotic Greeting Card with you. It’s adorned with ribbons from the Red White and Blue Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Red White and Blue Patriotic Greeting Card
I decided to go bold, bright and festive on this red white and blue patriotic greeting card. Handmade rosettes, red white and blue buttons and fussy cut letters make this card ready to party! (The papers are from Authentique’s United Collection.)
I’ve complemented the papers with this bold and beautiful double layer bow tied with Red Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and Royal Blue Crosshatch Satin.
The bow cluster is topped with WOC Red Cottage Roses. I’ve also tucked in some White with Red Center Sweetheart Blossoms . There are a couple of blue Sweetheart Blossoms peeping out, too.
Red White and Blue Patriotic Greeting Card: A Peek Inside
There’s a party going on inside this card!
I topped this digital tag image with Crosshatch on Red Satin Ribbon. Then I added a simple square knot bow tied with Patriotic Candy Hearts Grosgrain Ribbon to finish it off.
I’m really thankful for all the family members, friends and strangers who have served in the military so that we can all live free. This is me, saying a heartfelt thank you to each of you, wherever you are. I appreciate you!

I salute you on this creative project! I love anything with the flag. How did you do the rosettes? Is it a die? My friend made me a card with a rosette, she said she just used a strip of paper and a score pad. Thank you Kathy. Your work is so lovely and your use of ribbon is always beautiful.
Love this card 🙂
Kathy, that card is just awesome! It has everything! I LOVE those rosettes but have never attempted to make them. I just might have to because they add so much to a card. And of course the red, white, and blue buttons are just the perfect touch. The inside is perfection as well! Thanks for sharing one of the prettiest Patriotic cards I’ve ever seen!
I am a sucker for anything patriotic. Love the rosettes.
Well, this is just about as festive as a table top tap dance with sparklers and top hat! What is it about those marvelous nostalgic paper rosettes that sing out ‘party?!’ Such a truly splendid way to observe and celebrate – and honor – our country’s founding fighters!
I love the way this card shows off all your personal touches and flair without relying very much at all on the paper patterns. This one is all about you – I love it!
