Romantic Valentine Shaker Tags with Authentique Romance
Hello, Friends! Happy Saturday! I thought I’d pop in very quickly and share these romantic Valentine Shaker Tags with you today. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s always good to have a little love inspiration on board.
The romance collection is just perfectly “mushy” for Valentine’s Day. The base of each tag is Graphic 45 Regular Kraft Tag. Just die cut the liners with the G45 Regular Tag die, then add the decorative layers. Since these come together so quickly, I thought it would be fun to make a little set of romantic tags….and then I thought…”Why not add a shaker?” So I did!
Each little shaker pouch is stitched onto a square white doily. I sew almost all the way around the pouch, fill it with sequins, then put it back on the sewing machine to finish stitching. It’s the easiest way I’ve found to make a shaker element. I also die cut a wreath from gold metallic paper. The image is from the Romance Components Sheet. Top this off with a Geranium Pink Taffeta Bow and some sweet Little Birdie Flowers.
Flip the tag over to find a ribbon tied sweet surprise.
And just like that, you’ve got Valentine’s Day covered!
Here’s a look at the rest of the tags in this Romantic Valentine Shaker Tag series:

Hi Kathy a clever idea . Love the beautiful tag an small gift . A sweet gift for a sweet holiday.
I adore these, especially the old fashioned ones.
This is exactly what I want, and need 😉 to make today. Thank you Kathy for these charming valentines.
Your creativity is just mind boggling, you think of lovely things to do with tags now. Shaker tags. Brilliant. I like Authentic papers too. Have a lovely weekend.
Do you have a written cut guide available? The last radiation treatment after my cancer recurrence affected my brain. I’m a visual learner anyway but really have a hard time keeping up and getting the numbers down correctly. Appreciate any assistance you can give me with this. I am glued to your video’s and always share them with my friends!
You did such a great job designing the Valentine Day mini album. Love it!!!
Received your reply. Completely understand about the cut guide. Definitely appreciate you having tutorials available to us at no charge! The only reason why I asked is I had seen one somewhere and thought I might be overlooking them. I just hit the reverse button a lot until I know I have everything down correctly! LOL
Finally went over to RRR and discovered the Zutter Bow It All! Oh my gosh that stinking thing is my new favorite tool! The bow tutorials from Bonnie at RRR are awesome. With some time I hope my bows will look as good as yours do!
Thanks again! Appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Good Morning Kathy!! I love it that I just picked up a 6×6 pad of this Authentique paper just the other day. I need to make 30 ATC cards to trade with a group I belong to. I can incorporate some of your ideas into this project. Thank you for waking me up and getting my head swirling with ideas. You are the BEST!! Enjoy this snowy day. (At least it is snowy in my world)
What a clever idea making a shaker card on a tag! Beautiful as always and so creative!
