RRR Blog Hop: God Bless America Card

God Bless America Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon May Blog Hop

Hello Ribbon Lovers!  It’s May 13th, and that means it’s time for another fabulous Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop.  You should be coming here from Karen’s lovely blog.  If you get off track, go back to the RRR BLOG where you’ll find a complete list for the hop.  We are heading right into the summer holidays, so it’s time to break out the red, white and blue ribbons from the May Patriotic Ribbon Club assortment and get your craft on.  I’ve made this God Bless America card using every single ribbon in the assortment.

I don’t know what it is about combining red, white and blue, but it sure works!  Here’s a look at the ribbons in this month’s club.

United We Stand

I also created a fun paper clip embellishment with a snippet of ribbon and a metal button.

Now, let’s talk about the bow!  I tied two colors of ribbon at the same time on my Bow-it-All tool.  Then I topped the bow with a flashy red flower and a star shaped stick pin.

True Blue Through and Through

Now hop on over and see what Cherry has cooked up with this fabulous ribbon assortment.  And be sure to visit the RRR Blog and let Bonnie know that you completed the hop so you can be entered to win your very own Patriotic Ribbon Club Assortment.

Thanks for hopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

    Hi Kathy,
I’m not participating in the blog hop, but I always love to see what you’ve made. This is a brilliant patriotic design, and I am so inspired by the way you used the ribbons! I am about 48 hours away from (hopefully) selling some of this stuff, but I can tell you, I am sick of looking at craft supplies! Hoping to make a little bit of money at our yard sale so I can buy NEW goodies! Tee Hee! Hugs!

Fantabulous card, Kathy! Love all of the layering…one of my favorite aspects of creating. Beautiful details! We are having a red/white/blue challenge on the Double D Blog!

    Dear Kathy,

I am absolutely crazy about this card! The Love design of course pays homage to the 1960’s and I’ve always loved that design. You mat everything so beautifully, even the ribbon. Oh how I wish I could spend a day with you to watch how you do everything. You are my favorite card designer to the nth degree. It is such a pleasure to view your projects. Have a wonderful weekend!

Great design. I like how you were able to use all of the ribbon. Yes, we said the pledge everyday at school and so did my kids.

  9. Cathy Frailey

Wow – such vibrant colors! And yes – the pledge was a daily occurrence, first thing in the morning!
