Really Reasonable Ribbon February Blog Hop: Graphic 45 Fairie Dust Waterfall Folio
Hello, Ribbon Lovers! It’s time for the Really Reasonable Ribbon February Blog Hop. You should be coming here from Karen’s lovely blog. Today, I’ve created a “Magical” Graphic 45 Fairie Dust Waterfall Folio using the gorgeous Purple & Green Ribbons from the February Ribbon Club. They are a perfect match for the Graphic 45 Fairie Dust Collection!
Magical Graphic 45 Fairie Dust Waterfall Folio
I created a 5.25″ x 7.25″ hardcover folio with a .75″ spine. The front of the album cover is a Prima Resin frame turned into a shaker element. I don’t know what it is about this collection, but it just calls out for a shaker element!
You can see how perfectly the February Ribbon Club Assortment matches these pretty papers! I created a double double loop bow cluster with Hyacinth Satin Ribbon with a Grosgrain Edge and Bud Green Crosshatch Satin Ribbon. This is topped with some pretty purple and white flowers.
The ribbon closure is 1.5″ Emerald Green Gingham. I secured it to the cover using strips of 1/2″ Scor-Tape.
Magical Fairie Dust Waterfall Folio: A Peek Inside
This is a very simple folio. The waterfall feature is on the right and a pocket is on the left. But don’t be fooled! There’s lots of room to store photos!
I’ve incorporated belly bands to hold ephemera cards from the collection.
You can score and fold a large horizontal ephemera card to form a flap feature.
This large pocket will easily hold 4″ x 6″ photos.
Add ephemera cards for journaling.
This would be such a fun way to record a child’s birthday party or tea party, don’t you think?

one of these myself.
Thank you so much, Beca! It’s such a fun way to make a folio, and the inside comes together very quickly. I’ve had requests for a tutorial, so I’ll see what I can do about sharing a step out video soon.

super cute project!!! is there somewhere that you provide a little more detail on the waterfall section and how to do that?
Hi, Lori! Thanks so much for your lovely comment! If you watch the video, I explain how I made the waterfall feature there. I have several waterfall folio videos on my YouTube channel as well. Here’s the link: https://www.youtube.com/user/kwclement
Hi Kathy, i enjoyed the video with all the hints and tips and love what you’ve created . The frame looks perfect as a shaker feature and the colours and ribbons are simply divine. Thanks x

Just beyond beautiful! Where did you find the darling purple flowers and polka dot butterflies?
Hi, Donna! Thank you so much! The flowers and butterflies are Petaloo. Sadly, Petaloo has gone out of business. However, you can find similar beautiful embellishments at Little Birdie Crafts. HEre is the link: https://littlebirdiecrafts.com/

This is delightful! I’m gobsmacked at all the layers you’ve built up in such a small folio! You’d be great at arranging rooms in an apartment building 😛 . I also love that you’ve used that green gingham ribbon on this paper collection – it wouldn’t have been my first choice for sure – and, yet, it’s absolute perfection!
Thanks – once again – for sharing!
