RRR Hop: Golden Grove Botanical Card Folio

Really Reasonable Ribbon August Blog Hop: Golden Grove Botanical Card Folio

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It’s time for another fabulous Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop.  You should be hopping over from Karen’s lovely blog.  This month, we are getting ready for fall with the gorgeous Autumn Harvest Ribbon Club Assortment.  These luscious ribbons were the perfect playmate for the Golden Grove Botanical Card Folio that I’m sharing with you today. Just look at all these wonderful autumn hues.

Kaisercraft Golden Grove is the perfect partner for the Moss/Cream Plaid Ribbons in this assortment.

I added a 1/4″ spine to this 5″ x 7″ top fold card base, then loaded this Golden Grove Card Folio up with paper pretties and luscious ribbons.

Golden Grove Botanical Card Folio: The Ribbon Cluster

This is a triple bow cluster.  I guess these gorgeous ribbons made me go all  bow happy!  The base layer is a double loop bow tied with 5./8″ Moss/Cream Plaid Ribbon.  Then I tied a second double loop bow with 3/8″ Kiwi Checkerboard Satin Ribbon.  This adds just a touch of shimmer to the bow cluster.  Next, I tied a third double loop bow with Natural Burlap String.  This adds a great rustic feel and texture to the bow cluster.  Finally, I pulled some yellow posies from my stash and hot glued them in place.

A snippet of 5/8″ Moss/Cream Plaid ribbon peeps out of this small pocket.

Hold this Moss Green/Cream Ribbon Closure in place with Scor-Tape.  The mini folio measures 3.5″ x 5″.  It’s a  lovely size for small photos.

The inner pocket holds a lovely tea bag and still has lots of room for a gift card or personal note.

Hi Kathy! LOVE your work. I especially like the size of this folio. Do you have a tutorial on how to make this one? I love that there is a 1/4″ added to the top of the card! I would love to make this for my DIL who is expecting this month.

Kathy, what is the best way to adhere such large Ribbon/ Flower clusters to your cards? It really adds dimension to your card front, really beautiful accent! Thanks,
