RRR Pets and Ribbon Challenge
Hello, Really Reasonable Ribbon lovers! Welcome to the RRR Pets and Ribbon Challenge!
When we were kids, we had the sweetest little beagle in the world. Of course, we named him Snoopy. He used to let us dress him up in our doll’s clothes and put him in the toy cradle without a hint of protest. Pets are great that way…they’ll endure all kinds of indignities in the name of love. Even though there’s not a beagle featured in this card, the devotion of these two puppies reminded me of those times. I love how attentive they are!
I used black cardstock to mat all the colorful papers in this 7″ x 5″ top opening card. The 3/8″ black gingham ribbon is the perfect option because it helps to ground the images, and it also plays well with all those colors!
The vintage image is a digital stamp from the Crafty Secrets Big Dog stamp set. I love the chalkboard element, don’t you? I traced over the letters with a white gel pen, and then smudged white pigment ink to give it a real chalkboard feel.
The banners and page title were cut from the DCWV Pet Stack. I matted the image on the Spellbinders Valiant Honor frame.
The inside uses a computer journaled sentiment, some fussy cut elements from the paper stack and another fishtail banner.
Now it’s your turn to create a card with a Pets and Ribbon theme. Link it up on the Really Reasonable Ribbon BLOG before August 31st. I’ll be stopping by to take a peek at your creative handiwork. Thanks for stopping by today!
