Rustic Christmas Snowbird Shaker Card

Rustic Christmas Snowbird Shaker Card Really Reasonable Ribbon October Ribbon Club by Kathy Clement Photo 01

Rustic Christmas Snowbird Shaker Card for the RRR October 2021 Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  This Rustic Christmas Snowbird Shaker Card is my inspiration piece for the Really Reasonable Ribbon October 2021 Blog Hop.  You should be coming here from Ginny’s beautiful blog.  This month we’re getting ready for Christmas with the festive red, green and white ribbons from the Ribbon Club Assortment.

My eye went straight to the darling Holiday Birds and Berries Printed Grosgrain Ribbon.  Layered over Forest Green Taffeta Ribbon, it’s the perfect pairing for this wintry card.

When I layer ribbon on a card like this, I use Scor-Tape to hold it firmly in place.  It also allows me to wrap the ribbon ends behind the card layer so that everything looks neat and tidy.

Taffeta ribbon ties the perkiest bows, so I used it again to anchor the corner of my shaker frame.

A Peek Inside

Of course, I added a pocket inside the card, then tucked a little gift card wallet inside.

This simple trick makes the card double as a gift, which is always handy during the holidays!

On With the Hop!

Now hop on over and see what the lovely and talented Cheryl has prepared for you.  Be sure to finish up the hop on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. Answer Bonnie’s question of the month, and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win your own October Ribbon Club Assortment!

But you don’t have to take your chances…you can join the RRR Monthly Ribbon Club today.  Then you’ll be sure to receive your very own Ribbon Club Assortment each and every month of the year.  Sign up for the club HERE.

You’ll find a linked supply list below this post.

Thanks for hopping by!

Ah what a delightful morning you gave me today. My eyes darted back and forth absorbing the lovely rustic Fall/Christmas feeling. Love that birdie ribbon and those chipboard snowflakes combined with the Blizzard Shaker Mix are to die for. I will say it again you are the Queen of pattern matching, embellishments and layouts my talented friend! And those lovely tea packets – where do you find the all those special blends? The tea bags are not only color coordinated with your design but also has a holiday sentiment. You do a wonderful job procuring the perfect tea bag for each project. These bags are as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate!!!
