Little Birdie Crafts Shabby Chic Bouquet Loaded Pocket Card Tutorial

Hello Friends!  I’m guest designing over on the Little Birdie Crafts Blog where I’m sharing this Shabby Chic Bouquet Loaded Pocket Card Tutorial.  With Mother’s Day right around the corner, this lovely design would make a lovely gift!

The tutorial will show you how to create a dimensional pocket on the front of a 5″ x 7″ card base.  Then you can fill that pocket with little treasures, gift cards, notes or any small token that would brighten up mom’s special day.

Creating the pocket on the card base means that it can stand for display.

Gift wrap your little treasures with designer papers from the Shabby Chic Bouquet paper collection to make them really special.  And as you can see, once the treats have been consumed, the card is still beautiful enough to set out as a home decor piece.

There is room inside the card to add a favorite photo and write a lovely note.

Kathy: Oh, my! I have spent the last hour online, trying to find out what the sizes are, of the Little Birdie primed chipboard pieces! Or, at least find out the size of the package backing they are packaged in…. I’m about to go insane! I want to order some, but I couldn’t find any info with dimensions. It’s important to know, so it will fit your project! Since 2 of the items I want are very similar to the laurel you’ve used, could you possibly let me know?
Thanks so much, and now I have something else, this lovely, lovely card to make- I just finished making the Magic of Oz folio from September, 2019….it turned out truly wonderful! Wow- it was a challenge, but so worth it! Thanks for inspiring so many people- you are fantastic!

So pretty Kathy and all your fans think so too. The paper is out of stock as is the chipboard door and one of the packages of flowers. Any suggestions for alternative papers that I could get in time to make this card.

Wow, Kathy! This is such a stunning card! I can just imagine the scent of all of those gorgeous flowers. I really like the pocket design on the front of the card with the treats wrapped with the pretty little bird motifs. And behind you have that beautiful wrought iron door. It adds such a pretty contrast to the flower colors. The inside as always is lovely as well. Thank you for sharing and making the video! Hugs!

Oh Kathy, you have out done yourself with this one. “Oh My Stars and Garters”, I am dumbfounded when I look at this spectacular, unforgettable creation in pink. Imagine having your own gorgeous garden anywhere in your home. Or if you could part with it as a gift, in your Mum’s or dearest friend’s home. Their faces would light up! Just gorgeous and video makes what is complicated a piece of cake with your lovely, succinct tutorial.
