Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse Floral Wreath Card
Hello, Friends! I have another sweet Springtime card using the Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse collection kit today. This floral wreath card is easy to make, but oh, so pretty!
Like most of my cards, this is a 5″ x 7″ top fold. I created lots of layers by matting the designer papers on the Spring Farmhouse Basics papers. This plain, cardstock is perfectly matched to the collection color palette, so everything harmonizes beautifully. It’s also lightweight, so you can mat your layers without making a 2 pound card…something I am famous for!
Simple Stories Spring Farmhouse Floral Wreath Card: Creating the Wreath Element
To create the wreath for this card, follow these simple steps:
- First, die cut a Spellbinder’s Fall Harvest Wreath from the peach paper in the Simple Stories Basics Collection.
- Next, die cut a second wreath from the green paper in the Simple Stories Basics collection.
- Now, layer the two wreaths with the green wreath on top. Adhere them slightly off center so that the peach wreath peeks through, adding a sort of shadow effect.
- Then place small pop dots on the back side of the leaves. Center and adhere over the 3″ x 4″ focal image.
I dug through my stash of Prima Flowers, and found these Georgia Blues flowers were a great color match. To add a little more texture, I found some retired Petaloo Hydrangea blossoms in my stash that worked great. A Champagne Wrinkled Ribbon bow adds the perfect shabby chic vibe.

I really like this paper collection too. I have a question though on your cards…. how much smaller is the inner matting, than the outside measurement? Specifically, the yellow mat, on top of the pink plaid. Thanks!
