Spellbinders July 2021 Club Kits Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  Welcome to the Spellbinders July 2021 Club Kits Blog Hop!  You should be coming here filled with inspiration from my friend  Jennifer’s blog.  I’ll share all the information about the hop and how to win the $50 giveaway from Spellbinders below.  But for now, let’s take a look at how I used the Amazing Paper Grace Pop Up 3D Vignette Home Sweet Home Club Kit.

Home Sweet Home Hanging Pocket Folio

Amazing Paper Grace Pop Up 3D Vignette Home Sweet Home Hanging Pocket Folio by Kathy Clement Photo 01

If you haven’t had a chance to play with this die yet, let me just say,, you are going to love it!  I used it to create the main element on this hanging pocket folio.

First I created a 6 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ base by stitching together layers of My Mind’s Eye Gingham Foundry papers with colored cardstock.  Then I made a 3/4″ deep box pocket to hold a darling little accordion fold folio.

The sentiment from the kit made a perfect title for the 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ folio.

TIP: Cut the sentiment from white cardstock.  Then cut fishtail banners on each end.  Mat on navy blue cardstock to really make it POP off the page.

Use magnets to hold the cover closed.  The inside of the folio folds out, accordion style, with 14 panels to hold photos and journaling.  I made this one for my sweet daughter-in-love’s birthday next month.  Shhh!  Don’t tell!

Wow, what a stunning project. And a great gift too. It’s been really fun seeing how all the designers make so many different projects with the same dies. Thanks!

Your attention to detail and embellishment is astonishing. Love the chimney, ribbons, etc. And that paper is so homey and comforting. Love the hanger – whole effect is charming and exudes warmth. Just your typical great design, Kathy!
