APG Pop Up Vignette Camera Spellbinders October 2020 Club Kits Blog Hop by Prima Pumpkin and Spice Kathy Clement Photo 01

Prima Pumpkin and Spice Photo Folio for the Spellbinders October 2020 Club Kits Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  Welcome to the Spellbinders October 2020 Club Kits Blog Hop! You should be coming here filled with inspiration after visiting Jill Hillard’s lovely blog.  Fall is such a beautiful season!  It’s the perfect time to get some great family photos in the beauty  of the great outdoors.  This though inspired me to create this Prima Pumpkin and Spice Photo Folio.  The cover is adorned with the Vignette Camera die from the Amazing Paper Grace October 2020 Club Kit.  This cute pop-up die also makes a fabulous shaker box.

Follow the directions on the product packaging.  Die cut the camera body from copper and pink metallic papers. Then die cut the top from patterned papers for a fun contrast.  The color combo is a perfect match for Prima’s luscious Pumpkin and Spice paper collection.  If you’d like to read how I turned the Vignette Camera Die into a Halloween shaker element, you can read all about it HERE.

My “made from scratch” trifold folio measures 7″ x 7″ with a 1″ spine. This allowed me to create a box pocket inside the folio.

Dress up the spine with a cute dangle charm.  Then wrap the folio with a long piece of ribbon to serve as a closure.

A Peek Inside

Since I’ve prepared a video tour of this folio, I’ll just share a few photos and tips here.

Add lots of pockets, large photo mounts, journaling cards.  Don’t you just love a good interactive folio?

TIP: Create a spectacular shaped edge pocket for the first inside page.  Simply fussy cut around the top of the fall pumpkins, score and fold the sides, then add a little dimension with some foiled chipboard.  This pocket has room for 6″ x 6″ tabbed photo mats.

TIP: Score the right hand panel of the folio and fold to form a pocket for these pretty journal cards.

Mat the journal cards on 4 1/4″ x 6 1/2″ panels of cardstock.  Then fold the cardstock in half to create decorative mini folios.

TIP: Score 3″ x 4″ journal cards along the top. Then use them to create a waterfall feature.

Prima Pumpkin and Spice Video Tour

If you’d like to see all the details and the Tea Party in a Pocket feature in the center of the folio, please enjoy this short video tour.

Hello my sweet friend! This is another awesome and beautiful folio!!! I did watch the video but couldn’t comment because I set up a new channel for myself, to hopefuly start doing some videos, but now I can’t comment on any channel because it say the comments are restricted. Ugh! Anyway, I love how you used the camera die. You always do things differently and I would love to sit by your side and learn. When I get my channel straightened out it will be “The Shabby Hippie”, and a new picture with longer hair. Hugs and blessings my friend!!!

Oh Kathy, you are a true paper artist, and this tri-fold folio is exquisite. Fall is already my favorite time of years, so the rich autumn colors and fall theme just pull me in. That vintage camera die gives your project a wonderful focal point and vintage vibe.

Luv your beautiful camera, luv your big photo mats with the tab tops, and just everything about this big folio! 7×7 makes a really good size folio …Thanks for another beautiful creation and all your inspiration! Oh my goodness! Yet another stunning project….I am amazed once again with your artistic gifts. I love how you incorporated Becca’s camera and made it a shaker card too! Just fabulous!

Wow! I just recently heard of a folio. And am fascinated by the unfolding beauty. I like this idea much more than scrapbooking, which I never understood putting all that work into one photo… but this…AMAZING!

You are definitely the “Queen” of folio making! You have so many talents (e.g., paper choices, color selection, layout designs, etc.) which are reflected in your folios and cards, which make your readers happy. I think SunshineHoneyBee hit the nail on the head when she wrote in her comment “whisked away for awhile”. Your makes always take me back in time and reawaken fond memories of times gone by. Your make using Becca’s new camera dies is so lovely. I think you can glean from the comments we appreciate your work and you Kathy.

You are so creative. My head is just spinning. That’s alot of fussy cutting. Where do you get your mojo from? Could you send me some! Awesome.

  8. SunshineHoneyBee

The photographer in me likes all the elements and wonderful detail that was added to this creation. Would be enjoyable to browse and be whisked away for awhile looking at everything.

My head is still spinning. So much detail and creativity. It would take me a month (or longer) to complete a project this amazing. Thank you for sharing.

As always, your project is amazingly creative. I don’t know anyone who can create such beautiful folios that are a joy to open to see all the fabulous layers. You are an inspiration!

So fun watching your video! What a fantastic book you made, and it will hold so many photos! The camera is very cool. I grew up using this kind of camera so it brings back so many good memories. Love the fall colors and the pink of course.
