Spellbinders October 2024 Club Kits: Festive Christmas Slimline Card
Hello, Friends! This festive Christmas slimline card is made with all kinds of goodies from Spellbinders October 2024 Club Kits. My granddaughters and I spent a very fun afternoon stamping, die cutting, embossing paper, coloring and playing with wax as we designed this card together. Is there a better way to spend time with 3 sweet girls? If there is, I can’t think of it!
Raised Designs Fun with October 2024 3D Embossing Folder Club Kit
My granddaughters are almost as big a fan of embossing folders as I am. So every time a new one arrives, they want to take it for a test drive. Here’s how we used the embossing folder on this card:
- First, lightly mist 110# white cardstock with water, then run through your die cutting machine following the instructions for your machine.
- Next, gently heat dry the embossed design.
- Now, use sponge daubers to color the poinsettias, holly leaves and evergreen boughs. We used Barn Door, Peeled Paint, and Evergreen Bough.
- Then, cut panels of the embossed design to a height of 2″. Adhere in the center of a slimline card base, overlapping the ends in the center. Trim to fit.
- Add Prills to the flower centers.
- Use 1/4″ Scor-Tape to attach decorative ribbon above and below the embossed panel.
- Trim out the poinsettias from the remainder of the embossed panel, back with foam tabs and use to embellish the card.
Stamping and Coloring Fun with Clear Stamp and Die Club Kit
Stamp the sweet critters in the October 2024 Clear Stamp and Die Club onto white cardstock using Jet Black Archival Ink. While you are at it, stamp a sentiment, too. Then use the matching dies to cut everything out. Color with colored pencils, back with foam tabs and arrange on the card front.
Most Wonderful Time of the Year Wax Seal of the Month Club Kit
Have you had any play time with wax seals? I’m afraid I’ve become quite addicted to them, and so have my grandgirls. Wax seals are a great way to add texture and a unique embellishment to a project. For this seal, we melted 5 of the Christmas Wax Seal Bead Mix, stamped with the October Wax Seal of the Month, and then once it was cooled, we painted over the image with a silver painty pen. Super easy, super fun, and a great embellishment when paired with a bit of Baker’s Twine.
A Peek Inside
Of course, we had to add a pocket inside the card.
We tucked in a little postcard that we dressed up with another stamped image from the Stamp and Die Club, a mini candy cane and a tea bag.

A Little Announcement
As many of you know, our daughter gave birth to a precious baby boy this summer. She’s been on maternity leave, but now must go back to work. I’ve volunteered to help take care of her sweet baby, which I am thrilled to do. But it means I have had to cut back some on my crafting commitments. Sadly, I had to decide to leave the Spellbinders Influencers Group.
I have enjoyed every single moment of being on this team. Spellbinders has been so good to me, and incredibly generous with their beautiful products. I will probably subscribe to a couple of clubs myself, now. But it will be free from deadlines so I can take care of our grandson. I call that a win/win!

Thanks so much for stopping by, friends!
