Spellbinders Timeless Collection Cards with Mintay Lilac Garden

Hello, Friends!  Today I have a lovely array of Spellbinders Timeless Collection Cards to share with you.  If you love elegant, detailed card fronts, borders and embellishments, then I think you are in for a treat.  All 3 cards that I’m sharing today are made with Mintay Lilac Garden papers.   Let’s take a closer look, shall we?

Timeless 5×7 Card Front Tea Party in a Lilac Garden

Spellbinders Timeless 5x7 Card Front-Mintay Lilac Garden-Kathy Clement-Kathy by Design

The month of May is always brings back memories of lilacs.  When growing up in Vermont , lilacs would burst into bloom during the month of May.  Their heady fragrance and delicate blossoms filled the landscape.  As children we would pick armfuls of these gorgeous blossoms.  If  we picked early in the morning on our way to school, the dew would sprinkle our clothing and we bore the scent of lilac all day long.

TIP: Create elegant and detailed cards with the Timeless Card Front Dies.  First, cut a panel of patterned paper with the outer frame die.  Then, add the layers with the beautiful detail dies.  Top off your creation with a Timeless Summer Day Butterfly and a Stampendous Sentiment.

Then create a Tea Party in a Lilac Garden on the inside of the card.

Timeless Hearts Border

Don’t you love the country crockery on this Timeless Hearts Border Card?  This was such a quick and easy card to create!

  • First, create a 5 1/2″ square card base.
  • Next, mat the crockery shelves image on a piece of damask patterned paper.
  • Then die cut the Timeless Hearts Border from Jewel Glitter Cardstock and Lilac Cardstock.  Layer together and top with pearls.
  • Create a ribbon border on the left, then add a Timeless Misty Morning Butterfly and a stamped sentiment to finish off the card front.

Create a pocket for a tea wallet and bookmark inside the card.  Add a flap element on the top, then die cut a panel of white cardstock using the Timeless Hearts Border to create a pretty spot to write your greeting.

Timeless Duo Embellishments

This card is so easy to make!

  • First, mat a 5 3/4″ panel of patterned paper on jewel Tone Cardstock.
  • Then, die cut and layer the Timeless Duo Dies to create an elegant embellishment for the top of a Mintay Circle Element and add some pretty pearls to make it pop.
  • Now stamp a sweet sentiment, add a little charm cluster, some flowers and ribbon and you have a mighty pretty easel card on your hands.

The inside has room for a little tea wallet/gift card, too.

I had such a good time creating with these elegant dies that I just had to share the results with you.  You can follow my tips to make your own, or purchase them from my Etsy Shop.

Here’s a chuckle for you, Kathy…After reading the title of the first card, I spent time searching the card front for anything having to do with tea. I figured my “old fartette” brain just wasn’t operating at full capacity today. Ha! Ha! Everything made semse when I saw the inside photo. Is this when a forehead slap seems appropriate?!? Love all 3 cards…so much better than Hallmark or American Greetings!!! The die details are really intricate…so delicate. Lilac colors and images always get my attention…same for tea!! Very impressive set of cards…well done!

A delightful collection Kathy, pretty papers and delicate dies that work well together, finished with sentiments that are timeless. Mintay have their own style and I enjoy their designs, vintage, shabby chic and pretty all rolled into one. Thanks for sharing, it keeps me motivated in between guests at the moment.
