Stamperia Family Domed Shaker Card Tutorial and Double Pop Up Fun Flap
Hello, Friends! It’s Wonderful Wednesday and I have the cutest Stamperia Family Domed Shaker Card Tutorial to share with you. Wouldn’t this card look adorable next to the cake at a mouse themed birthday party?
Do you love pop-up/pop-out elements as much as I do? Today I’m going to show you how to make a double pop out element inside this darling card folio. Ready to get started? Let’s go!
There’s No Place Like Dome
I’ve been trying to clean up the Closet, and found a stack of these Tim Holtz Domes that I’ve had forever. A lightbulb went off in my brain as I realized how perfectly they’d fit into the center of a doily I used in last week’s tag tutorial. And that’s how this crafty adventure started. First I cut the center from this 5″ doily to use as an embellishment. Then I set the outside rim aside to use in another project. Here’s how to make it fit your shaker dome.
- First, gently stretch the doily around the rim of a 3 1/2″ shaker dome. Take your time and let the fabric stretch naturally to avoid tears.
- Next, place dries clear adhesive around the base and a little bit up the side of the dome.
- Now, press the doily into place and let it dry. It’s so cute!
Fun Flap Feature
Card folios are one of my favorite things to make, especially when I can add an interactive feature to the mix. This simple flap element opens to reveal a dynamic double pop up/pop out element that is truly “awwwwwww” worthy.
Just look at that adorable book-loving mousie! He’s dreaming of a birthday adventure in a hot air balloon, don’t you think? This is such a simple pop up feature, but adds a big “wow” factor to the card folio design.
A simple pocket holds a small journal card and whatever treat you’d like to tuck in.

SUPPLY LIST

Adorable! Love the shaker front and the pop up-thank you for the detailed instructions. Sounds like your recovery is coming along well!
Really enjoyed this video Kathy, especially the layouts on the pop up section, the dimensions and delightful faces on the mice. The banner wrapping around the dome is bang on, this is a really lovely project. After a lot of rain the gardens are green and the sky is blue, it is time to do more paperarts!
Very cute.
