Stamperia Pink Christmas Ice Skates for Really Reasonable Ribbon
Hello, Friends! These Stamperia Pink Christmas Ice Skates are so dreamy when matched up with ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon December Ribbon Club. Growing up in Vermont, I had to wear my older brother’s black hand me down hockey skates. Not exactly inspiring for a young girl who imagined herself to be a graceful swan. The reality is, I tumbled my way across the ice while pushing an old broom in front of me for balance. But a girl can dream…and this card is the stuff dreams are made of!
A Note About the Product
You know how you sometimes get down to the last few bits of a paper collection, and you combine it with another collection that matches it really well? I don’t do it very often, but because Stamperia Pink Christmas and Sweet Christmas were so very similar, I did combine them. I only had a few bits and pieces of Sweet Christmas left. The skates image is from that collection along with a few bits and pieces of border and such. Sadly, Sweet Christmas is no longer available…or if it is, I cannot find it in stock. So please forgive me for that oversight on my part.
Stamperia Pink Christmas Ice Skates: The Basics
This is a 5″ x 7″ top fold card with a 3/4″ spine. Machine stitching, paper doilies, glittery die cut stars and soft pink posies amp up the shabby chic vibe.
TIP: Create a shabby chic border by layering Mineral Ice Checkerboard Satin Ribbon with Aqua Shell Print Satin Ribbon along the top edge of the card. Tuck the ends of the ribbon behind the card panel to create a finished look.
Tie a triple loop bow from the Shell Print Satin and top with petite posies and silver glitter jingle bells. The Zutter Bow it All Tool makes it easy to tie these bountiful bows.
Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Ice skates and mini jingle bells top this tag. Hold everything in place with a bit of Iridescent Metallic String.
Stamperia Pink Christmas Ice Skates: A Peek Inside
Don’t forget to use ribbon inside your card! It makes a great closure for this little gift folio.
These sweet gift card folios are a wonderful way to present a little Christmas Cheer. I’ve filled this one up with some cookies, a Santa spoon, peppermint stick, honey stick, chocolate and tea. Have several of these folios on hand during the holidays because they make wonderful last minute gifts.
I hope I’ve shared some tips, tricks and ideas that you can use in your own crafty adventures. If so, I’d love to hear from you in the comment section below. And here’s a link to an older Stamperia Pink Christmas project.
Thanks for stopping by!

Victorian Christmas glory here…oh so Little Women!!!
Kathy,
I love your card. I have the 8×8 collection Pink Christmas. For some reason, the skate photo is not there?? Is it on the 12×12 pad? My granddaughter skates and I would love to make this for her.
Hi Kathy, I love the pink Christmas papers by stampeder, but I don’t see the ice skates in the papers. Which is the pink collection that has the ice skates. You have done a great job with those in your projects. Thank you for replying

Once again a beautiful project! I am in awe of how you think and put projects together. The added small tag and teeny skate are adorable.
The pastel colors of this card are so beautiful, Kathy. The Stamperia papers and the RRR set for December were made for each other. Checked out the earlier card from this paper set and it, too, is such a lovely pastel creation. There’s something old fashion, nostalgic, to the look of these cards that create a warm, cozy feeling. Thanks for this inspiration. Hugs.
Stunning, absolutely stunning Kathy. I have several adorable nieces who would love this. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Joyce xxx
This card is absolutely stunning! This Stamperia paper collection is the only Christmas theme where pink seems perfectly appropriate. Other, more modern collections, just don’t sit right with a pink Christmas. It’s the vintage beauty of the Stamperia images…and all the beautiful roses!! I so appreciate the addition of the little silver jingle bells…perfect embellishments. I like your suggestion to have a couple of these on hand for unexpected gift giving. That little Santa spoon is adorable!! That little tag is really drawing my eyes. Oh, my…this entire project just warms my creative heart. Well done!
happy holidays dear friend

Oh my!!! This is my favorite card yet!!!! I adore this card Kathy! So vintage looking, luv the colors! You are such an artist …knowing just what to do with these papers …just so awesome when you put it all together!!! I am a roller skating girl …and did a little ice skating a couple of times …just too little of a blade for me to be very graceful on!!! I’ll take my roller skates any day!!! This card is just gorgeous inside too! Thank you for sharing and bringing back some old memories my friend …hugs, Suzy Q
I love Stamperia papers. I have some blues with little girl angels in the snow, I do believe they are older, but I had forgotten about those papers till now 🙂 Thanks Kathy!!! This card of yours is magical, that is what those papers do, they make you feel like dreams really can come true and all that glitz that you add makes it just perfect. Happy Wednesday.
Ohh so pretty Kathy. I love that spoon too. Didnt you say you picked them up at a thrift shop? Ill have to start looking. Really love the softness and antique look of this paper
This is absolutely gorgeous! Love the old skates image and the sweet old world look of this beautiful project! Great job!
Oh, Kathy, what a glorious creation! I love this collection, and have become quite the collector of Stamperia. I love the ice skates and coordinating charm, the pink berries, your bows and bells, and that Santa spoon!!! Basically every single thing about this folio makes my heart happy:) Hopefully, I will get some crafty time soon to make use of my ever growing stash. I think I may give the Zutter Bow it All to myself for Christmas! Would you recommend also buying the kit with the extra ‘arms’? Blessings and hugs, my friend.
Wow, Kathy! Is there any paper out there that is more exquisite than Stamperia? I don’t think so! I have this collection and have been hoarding it but I think I better make some cards with it now! You have inspired me with this stunning creation! I love ice skate motifs for Christmas. Your flowers and ribbons on the front are just gorgeous and really compliment the skates. The inside with all of the surprises and goodies is wonderful as usual! Thank you for sharing this beautiful creation and your sweet story! Hugs!
Oh my stars. Absolutely gorgeous!!
A truly beautiful and amazing card!
