Stamperia Provence Pop Up Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Friends!  This Stamperia Provence pop up card is a little promise of springtime!  The best way I know of to fight the winter blues is with lots and lots of pretty spring papers, ribbons and embellishments.  Really Reasonable Ribbon must feel that way, too, because the February Ribbon Club is like a breath of fresh spring air.

Really Reasonable Ribbon February 2022 Ribbon Club Assortment

Can you smell the lilacs and the lavender blooming?  These lovely ribbons inspired me to invite spring breezes into my studio with Stamperia’s Provence paper collection.

Lovely As Springtime

  • First, create a 5 1/2″ square card base.  Just for fun…locate the fold on the BOTTOM edge of the card.  (You’ll see why in a moment. )
  • Cut and mat a 5″ x 5″ panel of the weathered wood paper over white and lilac cardstock.
  • Next, create a ribbon border by layering Green and Purple Plaid ribbon over Light Orchid Diamond Satin Ribbon.  Wrap this around the bottom of the weathered wood panel.
  • Now cut 2 images from the paper pad. Layer these with a diagonal line.  Place foam dots between the front and the back layer.
  • Then tie two Key Lime Bows for the corners of the card. Top with pretty lavender flowers.
The Details

A quick search through my embellishment stash revealed this old Prima sundial frame and an old Melissa Frances resin bird.  Layer these together with foam squares between to add dimension.  Tie a snippet of  Swiss Dots Grape Satin ribbon around a little hinge clip to act as a closure for the card.

A Peek Inside

The front of this card drops down to reveal a pop-up scene made from fussy cut images.  Isn’t it fun?

The pocket on the bottom of the card holds a little accordion style folio tied with more Key Lime Ribbon.  I tucked in a purple teabag, too.

Spring colors are so welcome in the middle of winter.  I hope you find time to play with these beautiful ribbons soon.

Of all the RRR collections, this one really grabs my eyes!! These colors are so beautiful together and alone. I can visualize many projects using these ribbons. I think I’ll pass on bottom folds…too inventive for me…personal preference. I do, however, love this paper collection! Perfect paper choice to go with this ribbon collection!
