Stamperia Shabby Rose Winter Butterflies Shaker Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon
Hello, Friends! This Stamperia Shabby Rose Winter Butterflies Shaker Card softens Winter’s blow with soft pink hues and delicate butterflies. It’s unexpected, whimsical and oh, so pretty with RRR Dusty Rose Wrinkled Ribbon and Iridescent White Metallic String accents.
Shabby Rose Winter Butterflies Shaker Card: Preparing the Shaker Frame
The Reneabouquets Snowflake Frame makes a perfect shaker element for the card. Here’s how to make it:
- First, heat emboss the frame with Versamark Embossing Ink and WOW White Diamonds Embossing Glitter.
- Next, cut a piece of clear acrylic cardstock to fit the back of the inner square. Adhere with Dries Clear Glue, and be sure to clean away any adhesive that smooshes out.
- Now, add a triple layer of Darice Adhesive Foam Strips to the back of the frame.
- Cut a 5 1/2″ square mat of designer paper to cover the card front.
- Then cut the butterfly/rose image to fit the frame.
- Fill the center of the image with beads, buttons, sequins and glitter, then firmly press the prepared frame in place.
- Die cut Tim Holtz Skeleton Leaves and emboss with the Wow powder. Adhere in the right hand corner of the frame.
- Tie a triple loop bow with your Zutter Bow it All Tool and adhere over the leaves.
- Tie the loopy metallic string bow and adhere on top.
- Add flowers and leaves from your stash.
- Repeat in the upper left hand corner, but tie smaller bows and use smaller flowers.
Shabby Rose Winter Butterflies Shaker Card: A Peek Inside
The inside is lined with designer papers from the Shabby Rose pad. Create a sentiment panel by die cutting cream cardstock with a Spellbinder’s Die (Card Creator/Detailed Scallops/Retired). Cut a circle element from the paper collection in half to create a sweet little tea bag pocket.
Lovely card, Kathy. The soft colors combined with the silver elements give such a rich look to this card cover design. Your shaker element adds a special touch to your cards. Hope to do more of these as I plan my next cards. Your designs are encouraging me to gather up my supplies and add this element. tfs-Hugs.
I love this paper from Stamperia, which I have too. It’s such a pretty, feminine card
Another spectacular card and I love the addition of the tea packet. Seems like those Bigelow tea bags were just designed to tuck into cards, doesn’t it?
This card is stunning and I love how you used a half circle to insert the tea packet.
Stunning card, Kathy!!
This would make a beautiful birthday card for my dear friend of many years. She is a “fluffy” glittery girl, she loves soft things, shiny things, she sparkles herself, so the card would be perfect for her. Thanks for the inspiration on this one Kathy, just lovely.
So gorgeous!! I love the way you layer~so delicious!
What a lovely romantic vintage style card!
Gorgeous! This pink card is beautiful! Luv how you used your papers …and captured that butterfly inside your shaker! And I didn’t think I’d like those skeleton leaves …but you’ve changed my mind yet again! Just beautiful with your beautiful flowers! And the inside is simple but very beautiful …down to that matching teabag! Hugs, Suzy Q
Such a pretty card, collection and extras. Gotta get busy and try one of your shaker cards. Is the iridescent string stiff or more like a ribbon?
So pretty!
Beautiful card , Kathy! That frame is just gorgeous and the butterfly motif inside is lovely and calming to look at. And what gorgeous flowers and bows! So glad I ordered those skeleton leaves. They really do add a nice touch to almost any design. Thank you so much for sharing! Hugs!
