Stamperia Whispering Woods Pop Up Book Tutorial 1 for October Wonderful Wednesdays
Hello, Friends! Are you ready to kick off our October special project with Stamperia Whispering Woods Pop Up Book Tutorial 1? I’m so excited at the crafty adventure that lies ahead! Each Wonderful Wednesday Tutorial this month will see us completing another element in this whimsical, wonderful pop up book tutorial. The more I work with this collection, the more I like it!
Wonderful Wednesday Schedule for October 2025
Many of you expressed an interest in changing up our normal Wonderful Wednesday schedule of tag of the month, banner of the month, card of the month and Wind Back projects in favor of creating a mini album or junk journal. So, that’s what we are doing! Each week, I’ll share a new construction or design element for completing a charming little pop up book.
My goal is to design a book that we would enjoy reading with our children or grandchildren, So I want it to be sturdy. I also want to create something that we would be proud to leave out on a coffee table as part of our fall home decor.
Let’s Build a Canvas Covered Hard-bound Book together.
To accommodate these goals, I decided to create a canvas covered, hand-bound book with 4 page signatures and lots of interactive elements.
We will actually need 6 tutorials to cover all the construction segments, so I’ll be sharing TWO tutorials this week: one for creating the book base, spine and signature pages. Then on Thursday (tomorrow) we’ll embellish the first book signature together.
I hope you’ll want to follow along as we construct this keepsake book together. Each tutorial will have a linked supply list to help you get all your supplies lined up. Of course, if you’d rather use a different paper collection from your stash, you can easily swap it out for the Whispering Woods papers.
A Quartet of Signature Pages
Today, we’ll build the album base and signature pages together. If you’ve never built a book or album from scratch before, I hope you’ll give it a try. It’s not hard to do, and once you learn the basic steps that I share with you today, you can create any book/album in any size you desire.
Since the price of pre-made albums keeps going up, I think you’ll enjoy knowing how to make your own.

I’ll be back tomorrow to embellish the first page signature with you. Then, we’ll resume our regular schedule. Sound good?

Good morning
I am new to your channel and was intrigued about your Wednesday journal project. What I need to know is can you use 12×12 paper the lux paper is expensive over $120.00 at Walmart.ca here in Canada.
Thank you for your creative YouTube channel it’s much appreciated.

Hi, Gail! Oof! That’s too much to pay! What I would do in that case is change the outer book dimensions from 6 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ to 6 1/4″ x 8 1/4″. Then the inside pages would measure 6″ x 8″. You could join (2) 12×12 Pages, trim them to the 16″ x 12″ and score them at 8″ and 6″. Hope that helps!
Thank you for the tutorial on making this book. Can’t wait to see all the steps to make the finished project!
