Stamperia Winter Botanic Deer Christmas Card

Stamperia Winter Botanic Deer Christmas Card for the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  This Stamperia Winter Botanic Deer Christmas Card is my inspiration piece for the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop.  You should be coming here from Gloria’s lovely blog. The month of October means we are rolling out a beautiful Christmas Ribbon Club  Assortment.

I love traditional reds and greens at Christmas, especially if plaid ribbon is involved!  So I decided to make my project for the hop with the Forest Green Plaid and Forest Green Checkerboard Satin Ribbons from the assortment.

Winter Botanical Deer Card

If  you’re working with 2 shades of Forest Green ribbon, you really ought to make a forest/botanical themed card, don’t you think?  So I did!  The green hues of these ribbons really made my vintage style papers come alive.

First, I used the Forest Green Checkerboard Satin to attach my metal word strip to the bottom of my focal image.  The 3/8″ ribbon slides nicely through the openings on each end.

Next, I tied a very merry Christmas bow with the Forest Green Plaid ribbon from the assortment.  Topped with sparkly cream flowers from my stash, it adds the perfect evergreen vibe to the card design.

A Peek Inside

I created a pocket and a flap element inside the card to give me a place to tuck in some treats.

Hide a candy cane behind the flap page.  Then tuck a little chocolate treat into the little note card that fits in the pocket.  It’s a card and a gift in one, now.

On With the Hop!

From here, you will hop on over and see what paper pretties the lovely Cheryl has waiting for you.  Be sure to finish up over on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  Answer Bonnie’s “Question of the Month” to be entered into a drawing for  your very own Christmas Ribbon Club Assortment.

Now is the perfect time to join the RRR Ribbon Club.  Each month you’ll receive a special assortment of themed ribbons in the mail.  It’s like getting a Christmas present all year long!  You can find out how to join HERE.

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the hop!

Cheerio,

kathy

I love this card Kathy. I’m sorta in the woods here & I see deer quite frequently around my place. I love seeing them especially when I see twins still with their spots. A creature of beauty. Be well, be safe & TYFS

Gorgeous deer card creation Kathy! Luv how you have decorated this image matting it with those leafy papers and then spattering it with white paint splatters …just like a first snow has come! I agree with the observation of this card providing us with a lovely moment of beauty and calm…a quiet interlude within nature. The candy cane was an unexpected surprise inclusion! The unusually dark colored snowflakes also surprised me…I’ve not seen others use anything but white or light blue…another level of creativity to be explored. Green ribbons and coordinating bells are nice. Beautiful card, Kathy!

So pretty, Kathy. Looks a bit too much like winter in Montana which will be upon us in the next few weeks!

Kathy, I can’t imagine a more beautiful Christmas card! This is simply stunning! I love anything “deer” themed for Christmas. The green plaid ribbon is just beautiful with the white poinsettias. And of course any images that incorporate green is always a favorite for me. This has such a wonderful rustic, nostalgic feel. Thank you for sharing this beauty! Hugs!

This one touched my heart and planted my thoughts in a nostalgic comfort zone. This is such a wonderfully exquisite, cleaver use of theme, layout, colors, and embellishments coming together to make and achieve a timeless conception. This outstanding project will tickled my fancy and will remain in my thoughts for a very long time. That little candy cane suspended by the date reminds of how little time there is before Christmas comes knocking at our door…better get started on those cards and some purchases if I am to be ready. Yikes!
