Stamperia Winter Tales Mixed Media Folio with Spellbinders  3-D Geo Quilt Embossing Folder

Hello, Friends!  I’m just popping in quickly today with a surprise project share for this Stamperia Winter Tales Mixed Media Folio.  Wintry blues are among my favorite hues.  I think that’s what first drew me to Winter Tales when it came out.  I’ve made loads of projects with this beautiful collection because I enjoy working with it so much.  This time, I added some fun mixed media effects with the new Simon’s Geo Quilt 3-D Embossing folder from Spellbinders.

I’ll be honest with you: at first this folder had me scratching my head.  But once I ran it through my machine with a piece of test paper, I was instantly hooked.  It’s perfect for winter projects thanks to the deep quilting effect it leaves behind.  I’ll talk about how I added even more depth and dimension to the design in the project share video below.

Silver Bells…and Charms!

What is it about dangle charms that makes a project so special?  Is it the lovely sound the charms make as they gently brush against one another? The shine?  Who knows?  But I do love to add charms to the spine of a folio or album.  And since the silver jingle bells in this grouping really jingle, it’s extra fun!

A Peek Inside

Here’s a look at the inside of the folio.  More gorgeous winter blues draw me right into the pages  with a wish to see more.  How about you?

One of the challenges of working with Stamperia 12×12 papers is the size of the images.  It’s always a fun challenge to figure out how to use those gorgeous images in a smaller format like this 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ folio.  I’ll tell you how I put this dimensional page together in the project share video.  But I find it very cool that even though the page is completely flat, it still has lots of dimension.

Deluxe Tea Party in a Box

Friends, you had to know that tea would be lurking somewhere in this project.  And yes, I created a lovely Tea Party in a Box on the center panel.  It’s filled with all the usual goodies plus a few extras because…well, Christmas!  You’ll get to see what’s behind door #1 and #3 in the video tour.

So beautiful! I echo the comments before mine: I love, love, love this paper. I have so much paper BUT the angels are calling my name! I really love the idea of creating a folio to simply enjoy the paper. The very best to you & yours this holiday season, Kathy.
