Carta Bella Sunflower Summer Greeting Card with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Friends!  Here’s a cheery Carta Bella Sunflower Summer Greeting Card to brighten your day!  It’s all dressed up with pretty posies and trims from the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop.  Pink and yellow is a favorite color combo, and I do love me some pretty pink plaid paper!  I’ll share the “recipe” for this quick and easy card below.

Sunflower Summer Card Recipe

  • First, cut a 5 1/2″ x 11″ panel of white cardstock and score in half at 5 1/2″ to form a top fold card base.
  • Next, cut a 5 1/4″ square of the pink plaid patterned paper and mat on a slightly larger panel of pink cardstock.
  • Now trim out the 4×4 image from Sunflower Summer and mat on a slightly larger panel of dark coral pink cardstock.  Adhere these layers to the card front.
  • Place foam tabs behind the “sunshine” banner and adhere as seen in the photo.
  • Locate the ephemera sentiment, back with foam tape and adhere so that the top edge is under the banner.
  • Now add a Peach Chrysanthemum and 2 Cherry Blossoms to the corner of the card.
  • Tie a double loop bow with 3/8″ Maize Checkerboard Satin Ribbon.  Top with a loopy Pink Burlap String Bow. Tuck beneath the chrysanthemum and glue in place.
  • Add small pink burlap string bows and buttons to the “Sunshine” banner.
  • Scatter some gems around the card to add a bit of sparkle and shine.

TIP: I like to use my fingers to “open” the inner petals of my Cherry Blossom flowers, but they are pretty any way you use them.

A Peek Inside

More pretty papers and a sweet little pocket/notecard combo dress up the card interior.

I’m a pushover for a cute chick patterned paper, friends.  I love these sweet little hens!  Make the note card by trimming down a 4×6 journal card and adhering to folded white cardstock.  So easy, but so cute!

And that’s all for me today, my friends!  I’ll be back on Wednesday with our Fairy Banner of the Month.  I hope y’all get to enjoy some summer sunshine and creative play until then.
