Hello Friends!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! After a busy and happy couple of days visiting with family, I have a sweet vintage card to share with you this morning, made with some of my favorite Crafty Secrets goodies. This one was quick and easy to make, thanks to the wonderful Post Card I printed from the Creating with Vintage Typography CD.
These soft blues are perfect for a sweet springtime card! I layered up the pretty blue floral lace paper from the Creating with Vintage Patterns CD and added some bits and bobs from the Birds and Blossoms Digital Creative Scraps . Three beautiful vintage buttons, a glittered wood frame and some ink stained doilies give it a real vintage feel. I created a loopy bow with natural burlap string and loads of pretty Petaloo blooms. Just a touch of lace along the bottom edge adds to the vintage vibe. The sentiment is from our Card Sentiment Stamp set, which is currently out of stock, but I’m sure Sandy will be releasing it in a digital format soon. It’s one of my favorite sets as the fonts are all so beautiful.
I don’t usually work with glitter because I end up wearing more of it than the card does! But sometimes, a card just needs a little glitter. This Antique Linen Distress Glitter was added to a wooden frame and then I placed it over the pretty vintage roses on the left hand side of the post card. Yes, I wore a little glitter, but the effect was worth it!
That’s all for me today, folks! I’d love to hear what projects you’ve been working on in the comment section below. Are you sprucing up the garden? Doing spring cleaning? Or are you still whiling away the hours in your crafty space waiting for winter to pass?
Hope you have a fabby Monday!
I really like this one. I a pastels, lace and ribbon type. Always have been. If you look back on comments, those are the ones I always like best! This is beautiful.
I’m playing catch up again Kathy (life and it’s rubbish sometimes just gets in the way of fun stuff) … and I’m so glad that I didn’t miss this one. It’s STUNNING. I’ve just had to get Mr. Cobs in to have a gaze at this one, and even he said how filled with charm it was. I’m currently (on another internet tab) trying to find this CD in the UK, and the minute I turn up with the goods, I’m buying it. (Even if Mr. Cobs cries as he gets his credit card out! lol)
Sending huge hugs ~ Cobs. x
This card is just beautiful! You are such an artist!!!
Hi Kathy so pretty and a gorgeous vintage fee. You really amaze me how you swop from your ideas around and produce something different each time. The weather in the UK is so mixed at the moment, 4 seasons in one day at times. Can’t get much done in the garden and Me Mona gone on a world trip again. Did have a nasty fall though 3 weeks ago walking my pooch and have hurt my wrist so that’s my excuse. Take good care my friend x
Sorry Kathy I think the gremlins at work in my above comments and changed words. Mr mojo for one x
Another gorgeous card Kathy. Can we used the digital papers and stamps without Photoshop? I would love to be able to use them. Thanks for sharing.
