Happy World Card Making Day Giveaway!

Happy World Card Making Day Giveaway!  Brand New Button Farm Card Club Kit Reveal

Hello, Friends!  Welcome to my Happy World Card Making Day Giveaway and Button Farm Card Club Kit Reveal!  As an avid cardmaker, I love this day dedicated to the creative pursuit of the handmade card.  What could be a more perfect time to reveal my latest Button Farm  Card Club Kit?  This quarter we are celebrating the glorious colors and patterns of autumn with Authentique Paper’s vibrant Splendor Paper Collection.

Lots and Lots and Lots of Cards for World Card Making Day

I’ve put together a wonderful assortment of greeting card designs for this kit.  Here’s a peek at the different styles we’ll be making this quarter.

Sunflowers!  My favorite bloom!  So we’ll be making these cheery sunflower shaker cards.

Designing these Buckle and Flap cards was so much fun!  Wait ’til you see how they function in the reveal video below.

I can see about a dozen different ways to use these “Party in a Box” Pocket Cards.  You can customize these by adding your favorite treats and wee gifts to the box pocket.  How fun is that?

You’ll “Fall” in love with these Slimline Belly Band Cards.

Do you know what happens when you take a standard 4×6 card base and score it in a unique way?  You get a trio of totally adorable Tab Top Card Folios.  These would make wonderful place cards on your Thanksgiving table, too!

Good things come in small packages.  And these darling Tag Shaped Pocket cards are really good!  You get a fussy cutting tutorial when we make these sweet cards.

This Sunburst Thanksgiving Card might just be my favorite of all the designs in this kit.  For one thing, it’s just as cute as it can be.  For another, the design is a great way to use up all those pretty little scraps of your designer paper.

And you knew I would have to include a card folio, didn’t you?  This trifold design has a lovely hidden pocket panel inside as well as lots of room for fall photos.

That’s a total of 15 cards and 8 unique card designs!  And once you learn how to make these card bases, you’ll have that knowledge locked up in your crafty toolbox to use over and over again.

Hello, Friends!  Well, the big day is finally here!  Time for my Merry Christmas Giveaway Winner Announcement!  I received an overwhelming response from all of you on all my social media platforms.  Reading your many kind comments touched my heart and made me get misty eyed more than once.  Y’all are the best, and I wish I could send each and every person who commented, subscribed, liked, and shared a prize.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Here’s how I picked the winner.  I began by putting a slip of paper for  my Blog, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube in a bag.  Then I reached in and grabbed one of the folded paper strips.  It was for my YouTube Channel.

Next, I went to my YouTube Channel and counted the comments, eliminating any of my replies or duplicate comments.  Then I entered the number of comments in a random number selector and it selected:

SHERRY SOMERS

Congratulations, Sherry!  You are the winner of my Merry Christmas Giveaway!  Please contact me via e-mail with your mailing address and I’ll get your prize pack out to you!

Thanks to all who joined in on this giveaway!  I’ll do another one when my YouTube channel tops the 9,000 subscriber mark.  So stay tuned!

From My Heart to Yours

When I started this blog in 2013, I had no idea the adventures that lay ahead.  It kind of takes my breath away when I look back at how amazing it’s all been.

I’ve had the honor to design for some of the best companies in the business: Authentique Paper, Graphic 45, Heartfelt Creations, The Button Farm Club and Really Reasonable Ribbon, Little Birdie Crafts, Petaloo Flowers…just to mention a few.  I am so grateful for the opportunities that have come my way…and all because I like to play with pretty paper!

Then, there’s each of you.  Wow, my heart is just so full.  I’ve had the chance to get to know many of you on a more personal level and some of you have become dear friends.  All because of paper.  It’s really amazing.

So, thank you.  From the bottom of my heart for taking the journey with me, for encouraging me with your sweet comments, for your patronage in my Etsy shop, for all of it.  My life is full to overflowing with joy and gratitude.

I wish each one of you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed and Happy New Year.  May the joy of creativity be your portion, and may you always find the courage to follow your dreams.  I’m so glad I did!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

Small Craft Studio Tour and a Winner!

Small Craft Studio Tour Part 1 and Winner of Week 4 Happy Blogiversary Giveaway

Hello Friends!  Happy Friday!  As many of you know, my husband and I sold our big family home last year and downsized into a cute little ranch home.  Of course, this meant I had to create a whole new studio space.  This was fun…and challenging.  My former studio was more than twice as big, and had almost unlimited closet/storage space.  I had to do a major purge before and after moving.  I’ve spent the last 10 months working on my new, smaller studio and I can honestly say, I love it!  Since we’ve been celebrating my 4th Blogiversary this month, I thought it would be fun to share a video tour.  This Small Craft Studio Tour Part 1 goes over the basic layout as well as some furniture design and storage ideas. So, welcome to my small craft studio!

Small Craft Studio Tour Part 1

Hey!  What About the Giveaway?

Not to worry, my friends!  I haven’t forgotten about announcing the winner of my Week 4 Happy Blogiversary Giveaway!  I put all the numbers into random.org and the winner is:

#5: Barb Macaskill

Congratulations, Barb!  Please e-mail me your mailing address and I’ll get your crafty goodies mailed off to you.

As luck would have it, Barb hails from the state I grew up in: Vermont. Isn’t that amazing?  And to make things even more interesting, she lives in the town next door to my old hometown!  I even went to church there.  It really is a small world!

A Heartfelt Thank You

I hope you have had as much fun as I did during this Blogiversary Giveaway.  I wish I could have sent a prize package to each and every one of you.  Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my questions.  I gathered a lot of useful information:

  • You prefer YouTube to Snapguide
  • Your favorite color combos
  • The things you enjoy about my blog (and some changes I need to make!)
  • The types of projects you enjoy creating

All this intel will find its way into future blog posts which means my blog will hopefully become even more relevant and helpful as time goes by.  Hearing from you all over the course of the past 4 weeks has been a fantastic experience.

Thank you again for taking this artful journey with me.  I couldn’t as for better travel companions!

I’ll be back tomorrow with Part II of my small craft studio tour.  I’ll share specific storage and organizational tips and before/after photos of the studio.  I hope you will join me!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy
