Seahorse by the Sea Easel Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon July 2023 Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  This beachy blue Seahorse by the Sea Card is my inspiration project for the Really Reasonable Ribbon July 2023 Blog Hop.  Welcome to the hop!  You should be coming here from Gloria’s lovely blog.

This month’s hop is all about the beach. That’s one of my favorite places, and one of my favorite topics for crafting.  So I pulled out some gorgeous Paradise Aqua Seam Binding and Brown Sugar Baker’s Twine to dress up this beachy blue easel card.

Beachy Blues

Because I was working with scraps of my patterned paper, I had to join two panels to create the cover on this 7″ x 5″ card.  To cover up the seam, I adhered a strip of  3/8″ Turquoise Quatrefoil Satin Ribbon to a 1/4″ strip of Scor-Tape.

All these shades of aqua helped to create a wonderful beachy blue vibe for my card.  I added a beautiful board Seahorse, starfish, flat back pearls, and Beautiful Beads from Reneabouquets to finish out the scene.

Dress up the stopper for your beach easel card with some Sea Shell Beautiful Bits and Fine Pearl Glitter Glass.

A Peek Inside

Here’s a peek at the inside of the card.  I love the fact that the Brown Sugar Baker’s Twine can be seen inside the card, too. The pocket doubles as the stopper for the easel mechanism.  You know me and my pockets!  I’m going to find a way to fit at least one in!

In addition to the gift card wallet that’s tucked into the larger pocket, I made a small side pocket that fits a small journal card and tag combo.

On With the Hop!

Really Reasonable Ribbon June 2023 Blog Hop: Bright Summer Colors

Hello, Friends!  Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon June 2023 Blog Hop!  You should be coming here from Gloria’s lovely blog.  You can find the complete blog hop list over on the RRR Blog.

Our theme this month is Summer and/or Bright Summer Colors.  Summer is the perfect time to enjoy a treat from the freezer, so I created this cute popsicle themed Slimline Card using 1/2″ Checkered Ribbon with a Stitched  Edge.  This ribbon comes in several colors, and is a great choice for summer cards.

White Chrysanthemums are such a cheery addition to this summery card, and they provide a nice contrast to all the bold colors in the card design.  Amp up the playful feel by adding  some White Spiral Stamens and Bead/Berry Sprays to the flower clusters.

TIP: Create a colorful ribbon belly band behind the card title.  First, apply 1/2″ Scor-Tape across the center of the yellow die cut panel.  Leave the ends long so that when you attach the ribbon to the tape, you can wrap them around the back side of the panel.

The inside of this card carries out the frozen treat theme with a gift card pocket and an ice cream cone greeting.

Really Reasonable Ribbon April 2023 Blog Hop

Hello Ribbon Lovers!  Welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon April 2023 Blog Hop! You should be coming here from Gloria’s lovely blog.  Mother’s Day is our theme for April, so I’ve dished up a deliciously feminine shaker card that’s loaded with flowers, butterflies, sequins and of course, Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Mom is the Best Ever!

Coral Rose Mini Check Ribbon is the perfect complement for this 5×7 shaker card.  I’ve placed poufy bows tied with the 3/8″ width in opposite corners of the shaker element to help frame it.

Paper pretties from Reneabouquets also adorn this flirty, feminine card.

I love the way the Mini Check Coral Rose Ribbon picks up on the pink in our Flower Girl’s scarf and the pink gingham paper.

A Peek Inside

I’ve added a kinetic waterfall element inside the card.  Write a partial greeting on each panel.  As the tab is pulled, you can read the entire message.  So fun!

Of course, I added a pocket to the card.  Create a little gift envelope by scoring and folding a 6×8 paper panel.  Then tuck a tea bag, honey stick and wildflower packet inside.  It’s nice to give Mom something to enjoy now, and something to enjoy later, too!

On With the Hop!

Now hop on over and see what paper pretties Cheryl has in store for you.  Be sure to finish up over on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog.  You can answer Bonnie’s Question of the Month to be entered into the drawing for a $10 gift card at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Create a Ribbon Rosette Lollipop to tuck inside the envelope.  Top it with a Pink Delicate Stitched Satin Bow and a glittery gold Valentine heart.  I used a chopstick for the lollipop stem, wrapping it with Scor-Tape and more of the Red Plaid Satin Ribbon.

You just have to add a little love note to a Valentine, so I created this cute heart hot air balloon note card.

There’s room inside to say something sweet to someone you love.
