Sparrow Hill Card Kit Reveal for The Button Farm Club Spring Quarterly Card Kit

Hello, Friends! I’m super excited to share this Sparrow Hill Card Kit Reveal with you today! Do you love spring pastels, sweet little sparrows, and shabby chic style? Then I think you’re going to love what’s in store. This is my Spring Quarterly Card Kit for The Button Farm Club, and it’s one of my favorite card kits so far. I’ll share a few little sneak peeks with you here, and then we’ll watch the reveal video together.

Beautiful Birdhouses in a Box

This Ciao Bella collection is every card maker’s dream come true. It’s loaded with the cutest cut apart bird house images, and I could not resist turning them into a pair of birdhouse folios in a box.

Cute, right? And a perfect home décor accent for spring, Mother’s Day gift, birthday gift or get well surprise. I designed the box so that we have room to tuck in a little tea party in a box or other goodies, too. To be clear, those items don’t come in the kit, but there is room for you to add your own should you choose to do so.

Pretty pastel satin ribbon binds the individual bird houses together. You can see more of the details in the video tour below.

A Little Bit of Everything

Of course, we make traditional style cards in this kit, too. And I share some of my sneaky card making tricks in the video tutorials.

The collection offers a lovely variety of spring colors and shabby chic images like the ones featured on these slimline cards.

And because the collection has a beautiful border sheet in it, I had fun making various belly band card designs. These double gatefold cards sport a pretty belly band.

And these double gatefold cards are easy to mail, thanks to the neat belly band design.

And of course, I had to include some of my favorite easel cards in the kit. These fold down flat so they are easy to mail, too.

Hello, Friends! Can you believe it’s time for my Button Farm Club Life Captured 2nd Quarter Kit Reveal? April, May and June of 2023 may seem far away at the end of February, but we all know they’ll be here before we turn around twice. So let’s get these fun folios ready to capture all the special occasions and events that are coming our way!

April Showers

April ushers in beautiful spring weather, Easter and Passover celebrations, and lots of fun outdoor adventures. This 6 1/4″ x 8 1/4″ flap style folio has loads of room to document special moments. It also makes a great monthly planner!

Look at all the room inside this cheery folio. My favorite thing about this folio design is how quick and easy it is to create. Let’s face it: life is busy, and sometimes simple is the way to go.

This great big pull out folio feature provides ample room for photos…or even recipes! Each monthly folio has this great feature in it.

Hello, Friends! I’m welcoming 2023 with this gorgeous Simple Stories Simple Vintage Winter Woods Mini Album Kit Reveal for the Button Farm Club. This is the Button Farm Club January Club Kit.

Did you all have a wonderful Christmas? We did, but it came and went very quickly! I had such a good time baking with my daughter and the Grandgirls, feasting at our Christmas gathering and enjoying my week off from work. But the day after Christmas, I locked myself into the studio and went to work creating this lovely kit for the Button Farm Club. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?

Winter Woods Mini Album: A study in collage

Do you love to create paper collage as much as I do? There’s something so satisfying about layering in bits and pieces of paper, images and embellishments. It’s like telling a story with paper, and I am a fan. So this mini album kit offers a lot of tips and techniques to help you master the art of layering paper pretties.

We will create all the fun flips, flaps and interactive elements that we love so much, of course. But each of the 3 divider pages in this gorgeous album base is a study in collage. It’s not as hard as it seems, and the results are stunning.

Another focus in this kit is learning how to create your own embellishments.

Heart Eyes Card Kit Reveal

Simple Stories Heart Eyes Card Kit Reveal for The Button Farm Club

Hello, Friends! I’m popping in today to share the first look at this adorable Simple Stories Heart Eyes Card Kit with you. It’s my Button Farm Club Quarterly Subscription kit for December 2022. Sometimes we can hit what I call the “post-holiday crafting slump”. Does that ever happen to you? Our crafty mojo drops down with the winter temperatures, and we need some fun, inspirational ideas to get us back into the creative swing of things. Well, I designed this vibrant kit with that in mind, and I think you are really going to love it. Let’s take a closer look at the fun projects in this kit, shall we?

Dimensional Loaded Envelope Tutorial

I love loaded envelopes, and I’ve been making them since I was about 6 years old. Of course, I didn’t call them that back then, but that’s what they were. Mom and Dad kept an office for our small town credit union in our home when I was growing up. The office trash can was always filled with manila envelopes (remember those?) and I used to fish them out, dress them up with cut out hearts or snowflakes or whatever the theme of the moment happened to be. Then I would fill them to the brim with little notes and drawings and my version of cards.

So when I entered the world of crafting, I fell in love with this concept all over again. Some time ago, I figured out how to make the envelopes in 3-D. You all fell in love with those projects and asked for a tutorial. But because the process was complicated and unpredictable, I never felt comfortable sharing it with you. I kept working on the paper engineering, and earlier this year, I came up with such a simple way to make these delightful box-style envelopes, that I decided to include the design in one of my card kits.

Y’all, you are going to LOVE how easy it is to make the envelope base! So that is why I made this the very first project in our December kit. I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to share the design with you!

Shaker Envelope Easel Cards

No card kit is complete without a couple of cute shaker cards! And y’all never seem to grow tired of making them!

Can you see the super cute sprinkles and candy hearts in the shaker window? This view of the closed card makes it a bit easier to see, but the card actually does stand up like an easel for display. What a bright spot of color to add to your desk!

Slimline Card Folios

Slimline cards continue to be very popular, so I included a very pretty pair inside this card kit. They are so easy to make, and the folio design inside the card is fun to open!

Loaded Front Pocket and Tag Cards

OK, y’all. I do love a good pocket! And if you can tuck a super cute lollipop rosette into the front pocket of a greeting card, I’m all in!

I’ll show you how easy it is to make these festive lollipop rosettes in the card kit tutorial. They are such a great addition to a pocket card. Each of these top fold A2 cards has a fun tag and 3×4 card insert. You’ll see how cute the inside is, too, when you make the kit!

Twist and Pop!

Some of you may have already seen this cutie on my Facebook or Instagram page. Because I love pop-up cards, I try to include one in each card kit that we make. You’ll also learn how to make the really cute butterfly clothespin embellishments in this kit.

Fun Flip Folio

And because I know you love to make them, I’ve designed a brand new fun flip folio card for this sweet kit.

Life Captured 2023 Folio Kit Reveal

Simple Stories Life Captured 2023 Folio Kit Reveal for The Button Farm Club

Hello, Friends! I’m popping in quickly on this December Monday Morning to share this Simple Stories Life Captured 2023 Folio Kit Reveal. It’s my latest kit for The Button Farm Club, and I’m super excited about it! These folios are just plain fun from the simple interactive design, to the fresh, cheery colors to the playful patterns and images. I think you’re really going to enjoy this kit!

This will be another of my Quarterly Subscription Clubs. Each quarter of 2023, I’ll release a new trio of folios using Simple Stories Life Captured. The first quarter ships this month (December) then we’ll send out the next kit in February, another in May, and the final kit in August of 2023.

Here’s a little peek at what comes in this first kit. So many great papers and embellishments to play with! You can get a closer look here:

Capturing All of Life’s Little Moments

Life is busy, and we don’t always have all the time we want or need to create. So everything about this folio design is quick and easy! My goal was to create a folio that you could re-create in an afternoon or less. If you’re new to making folios, this is a great tool to add to your crafting tool box.

But quick and easy does not mean boring! There’s plenty of fun, interactive elements built into each 6 1/4″ x 8 1/4″ x 1/2″ folio.

One of the things I appreciate about this folio design is how great they will look lined up on a bookshelf. They are all the same size and shape, and the colorful spines invite you to pull them off the shelf to see what’s inside.

I have plans to create a Storage Box kit after we’ve finished all the folios. This will double as a home décor item, and will be separate from the folio kit. So stay tuned for that toward the end of 2023.
