Masculine Graduation Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge # 119
Hello, Ribbon Lovers! It’s time for another inspiring ribbon challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon! This time, we’re creating something for the fellas! I used Graphic 45 Curtain Call papers and made a super stylish masculine graduation card for a young man who minored in drama. Check it out:
Layering the black and cream papers from this retired collection with a touch of black and gold foil cardstock really made them pop!
Of course, the perfect trim for this color combo is the fabby new Canvas Color Band Ribbon. This ribbon comes in a rainbow of colors, and is soft and easy to work with. (Yeah, I have a new ribbon crush!) I chose the black for this project, and it couldn’t be more perfect. I accented the card focal with a strip of it, then made a simple double looped bow with my Zutter Bow it All. I topped it with a loopy bow made from Gold Metallic String. I had the star button in my stash, just waiting for this project to come along!
Because I mounted my focal on the diagonal, I had to make a custom envelope for this card. The stickers I added are from Sandylion Essentials, just in case you wanted to know. The Tim Holtz letters are painted with antique bronze Distress Paint. The stars were in my stash, along with Tim’s filmstrip ribbon.
Want a peeky of the inside? I thought so!
