Scalloped Symphony Notecards Baby Girl Folio

Hello, Friends!  This Spellbinders Scalloped Symphony Notecards Baby Girl Folio is one of my “think outside the box” projects.  Sometimes, I open up a new die and can see a way to use it that flies pretty far afield from the original intention.  I happen to like these moments when the creative side of my brain takes over.  Even the process of figuring out the details makes me happy.  This is what happened when I opened up Becca’s beautiful new Scalloped Symphony Dies.

I saw an itty bitty baby book for our sweet next door neighbor’s new baby girl.  Go ahead and say “awwwwww”…because there is something about baby girl things that just provokes that reaction, right?   The center filigree medallion is cut with the Square Decorative Insert that comes with the set.

Don’t be deceived by the petite size of this folio.  It’s tiny, but mighty!  Let’s take a look inside so you can see what I mean.

A Peek Inside

The fun starts on the very first page (there are 12 pages in all!) with pullout accordion mechanism.  Lift the magnetic flap and unfold the fun.

This is a 5 panel pull out with 10 pages for photos, pockets, tags and journaling spots.

Here’s a sample of the cuteness inside this pull out page.

I created a pop up page, too.

Tip in pages give you even more room to add photos and memories.  Don’t you love the scalloped edges of this die?

Here’s a look at another darling tip in page.

I wish I’d had time to shoot a video of the whole folio, because it is sweet as it can be.  But I had to get dinner and this gift over to the new mom and dad, so I only had time to shoot a few photos of the project.  But it was so stinkin’ cute, I just had to share it with you here.

Maybe I’ll find time to put another folio together with Christmas papers.  If I do, I’ll do a tutorial to show you how to build the base.  Would you like that?
