Say BOO! Midnight Tales Halloween Card

Say BOO!  Midnight Tales Halloween Card!

Hello, Friends!  Say BOO!  Because Halloween is creeping up around the corner, I thought I’d share this Midnight Tales Halloween Card today.  Made from bits and bobs of the G45 collection, paired up with Really Reasonable Ribbon and Reneabouquets, it’s a Spooktacularly fun creation! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Tips and Tricks!

  • First, create a 6×6 top fold card base from black cardstock, of course!
  • Next, cut (4) 6″ x 1″ strips of designer paper.  Miter the corners and adhere them to the card base.   This is a great way to save designer paper when you are running a bit short!
  • Now, Trim the 6×6 G45 image around the orange frame and adhere in the center of the card.
  • Then die cut a doily from scraps of orange patterned paper.  As long as the hue matches the paper collection, it doesn’t really matter what collection the paper comes from! Adjere the doily in the center of the card front. Then layer it with a smaller black doily.

  • Now add the Midnight Tales Sticker and the Reneabouquets Winnie the Witch Printed Beautiful Board.  Pop the Beautiful Board up on foam tape to make it pop!
  • Next, die cut a banner (linked below) from scraps of cardstock.  Pop up on foam tape and adhere in the bottom right hand corner.
  • Finally, create a beautiful ribbon border.  Layer Halloween Cats Grosgrain Ribbon over Black Delicate Stitched Satin.   Some spooky grey flowers and Silver Metallic String provide the perfect finishing touch!
A Peek Inside

The inside is a hodgepodge of assorted Halloween papers paired up with the few G45 images I had left in my stash.  But it works!

Tuck a little chocolate treat inside a mini folio and you’re ready to call it a day!

Midnight Tales Fold Out Folio

Graphic 45 Midnight Tales Fold Out Folio for Really Reasonable Ribbon by Kathy Clement Photo 01

Midnight Tales Fold out Folio for the Really Reasonable Ribbon September 2021 Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  This Graphic 45 Midnight Tales Fold Out Folio is my inspiration piece for the Really Reasonable Ribbon September 2021 Blog Hop.  You should be coming here from Ginny’s gorgeous blog.  Today we’re focusing on the spooktacular RRR Halloween Ribbon Club Assortment.

The Grape Diamond Satin Ribbon was the perfect accent for this 5 1/2″ square folio.

It really pops off the page, especially when layered over Black Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon.

Add some ribbon to the spine, too.  It’s always a great accent!

A Peek Inside

Make this simple fold out style folio by joining two 11″ x 5 1/2″ panels of cardstock together.  Then score from the left at 5 1/2″ and 6 1/2″.  This forms the cover and spine of the album.

Then score the rest of the paper every 5 1/4″.  Accordion fold to create this pull out element.  It’s one of the easiest ways to create a quick folio with lots of room for photos and journaling.

Score ephemera cards to create a little flip action on the right hand side of the album.

Add pockets, flap pages and ephemera to dress op the folio pages.

Decorate the background of a page with 2 1/4″ squares of designer paper.  Then top it with a little fold out folio.  This is a great way to use up bits and bobs of designer paper.

Adhere ephemera cards to tip in pages so you will have room to write down those important memories.  Photos can be mounted on the base page.

A little folio like this one can easily be finished in a day.  I only had scraps of the paper collection to work with, but I was pleasantly surprised at  how far those scraps went!
