Mintay Spring is Here Creativity Kit Reveal for Button Farm Club

Hello, Friends!  Open your windows and let soft breezes flow with the Mintay Spring is Here Creativity Kit Reveal for the Button Farm Club.  If you’re crafty mojo is stuck in the mud, this lovely assortment of projects is sure to get you rolling again.  We are making everything from cards to tags to boxes to folios and even a darling Spring Explosion Box Photo Cube.  Let’s take a closer look at a few of the projects in this kit.

Box of Spring Tags

It’s always fun to dress up our homes with seasonal decor, isn’t it?  This darling box of tags would look so sweet sitting on a book shelf or side table. First, you’ll learn how to create the box that  holds the tags.  This is one of those “handy” tutorials to have in your toolbox, as you can use it for so many occasions: wedding table decor, shower decor, office decor and seasonal decor.  It makes a great gift, too.

We will create 4 double-sided tags and two adorable gift envelopes to tuck inside the box.

Spring is Here 6×6 Flip Folio

No pun intended, but I think you’ll flip over the design of this 6×6 folio.  The papers are sooo gorgeous, and the folio is super easy to build.

Here’s just a quick peek at one of the page sets inside.  I’ve loaded it up with interactive pages and lots of room for photos, too.  You’ll see the whole folio in the video reveal below.

Cards, Too?

Yes, friends, there are card tutorials in this lovely kit, too!  We’ll make this pretty pair of 6×6 easel cards…but there’s more!

I’ve also got some really pretty slimline card tutorials in the kit.  This is just one example.  You will see the rest in the video.

And, there are a couple of “use your scraps” bonus projects that I think you’ll really enjoy as well.  It’s a big, juicy kit with lots and lots of projects to keep you happily creative!

How to Order

First, let me say that this kit is NOT one of my Quarterly Card Subscription Kits.  (That comes later this month, and we’ll be working with Stamperia Coffee & Chocolate collection.)  This is a stand alone kit, so anyone can order.

All the supplies are in stock and the kit is ready to ship out now.  Button Farm Club has an easy installment pay plan, too.

You can order your kit HERE.

Once again, I thank you from the tips of my crafty little fingers!  Your enthusiasm and support for these kits really touches my heart.  I don’t like to travel, so this is my way of providing classes for those of you who have asked for them so many times over the years.  I hope you are enjoying the kits as much as I am enjoying the creative process of putting them together.

Thanks so much for stopping by, friends!

Sweet Springtime Window Shaker Card

Sweet Springtime Window Shaker Card with Really Reasonable Ribbon and Mintay Spring is Here

Hello, Friends!  If you’re longing for a bit of springtime, this Sweet Springtime Window Shaker Card should brighten up your day.  Trimmed out with lovely Really Reasonable Ribbon Coral Rose Mini Check, lots of pretty flowers, and a window box filled with blooming daffodils, this card is springtime on paper!

I made a banner for the RRR February Blog Hop with this same  Spellbinders Vista View Window Die.  But I thought it would be fun to show another way to use this die set.  This time I added the cute window box dies below the window frame, then filled it up with fussy cut daffodils.

Don’t you wish you could walk out into that pretty scene behind the window panes?

A Peek Inside

I also added a little flap page and pocket combo on the inside.

TIP: Create a pretty stationery post card panel to tuck inside the flap pocket.  Emboss just the top of the paper with a 3D Embossing Folder to create a classy looking note!

TIP: Add a little Baker’s Twine to a tag and a tea wallet to really dress them up.  It’s almost like getting an Easter basket in the mail, isn’t it?

If you haven’t taken a peek at RRR’s Spring Ribbon collection in a while, you might want to pop over and see all the pretty colors, textures and patterns that are available.

I hope I shared some tips and ideas that you can use in your springtime crafty adventures.  It’s so  nice to be able to break out our spring papers and play as we wait for winter to pass.

You can find a linked supply list below this post.

Thanks so much for stopping by, friends!  I hope you have a joyful and creative day!

Spring is Here Banner Tutorial for the RRR Blog Hop

Mintay Spring is Here Banner Tutorial  for the RRR Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  This Mintay Spring is Here Banner Tutorial is my inspiration piece for the February 2024 Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop.  You should be coming here from Gloria’s lovely blog.  I have a tutorial for the banner, too, since the date for the RRR Hop overlaps with our Make & Take Tuesday Banner of the Month tutorial.  So if you’re new to my Make & Take Tuesday tutorials, you are warmly invited to check out the video below.

The banner pennants are stitched onto luxurious Gold Silky Crush Ribbon.  Then I added pretty Pink Swiss Dots Satin Bows at either end of the banner. The  pink bows are topped with Iridescent Met A row of antique lace stitched across the top adds a nice vintage vibe.  Iridescent Metallic String Bows top the pink bows for a little extra sparkle and shine.  Next I dug into my stash of RRR Mulberry Flowers because nothing says “Springtime” better than pretty posies!

Shaker Window Pennants

The pennants on this banner are die cut with Spellbinders Vista View Window Dies.  Here’s how I used the dies to create the shaker windows on the two center pennants.

  • First, die cut just the window background from pale pink cardstock
  • Then turn the window background upside down so that the rounded edge is on the bottom.  Adhere to kraft cardstock and trim out so there is a 1/8″ border on all sides.
  • Next, create a template for cutting the designer paper.  Cut out the background, fold in half and trim 1/8″ off the open edged side.  Then trim 1/4″ off the top edge.  Trace this onto patterned paper and cut out with your paper trimmer.
  • Now, place the lattice frame on a piece of pink barn wood paper and die cut.  Adhere the acetate to the back of the window lattice and trim out with your scissors.
  • Adhere 2 layers of 1/8″ foam tape on the sides, top and bottom edge of the acetate.
  • Glue down the focal images on the banner pennants and top with your shaker mix.

Finally, center the prepared window over the pennant and press in place.

The Little Details

Embellish the pennants with a combination of Mintay die cuts, Really Reasonable Ribbon Mulberry Flowers and Reneabouquets Printed Beautiful Board.
