Mintay Nana’s Kitchen Friendship Tea Card with New Reneabouquets Goodies
Hello, Friends! Would you like to join me for a cuppa as I share this Mintay Nana’s Kitchen Friendship Tea Card Tutorial with you? It’s the sweetest little tea shop in town, thanks to some new paper pretties from Reneabouquets. Oh, how I’d love to meet you in this darling tea shop for a cuppa and a chat!
Mintay papers are always gorgeous…but not always easy to use in a card. So today’s Throwback Thursday tutorial will focus on how to create a dimensional scene that feels as though you could walk right into it.
The secret is choosing a background image cut from a corner of a 12×12 sheet of paper. Then add layers of foam tape behind die cuts and chipboard images to create lots of depth and dimension.
Sweet Surprises Inside!
The inside of this card is as sweet as the outside. I’m not sure what I like more: the beautiful flip page or the lace trimmed pocket.
First, I created a flip page using another corner of the same 12×12 paper. Simply score a 1/2″ flap on the right hand side of your paper, then glue the flap behind the liner. Add one of the darling tags from the paper collection to provide a bit of contrast.
Tea calls for a tasty treat to go with it, so I wrote out my favorite coffee cake recipe and tucked it behind one of the circle die cuts. Then I computer journaled the Recipe for Friendship and adhered it behind the flap. If you only put adhesive on 3 sides of the sentiment, it creates a spot where you can tuck in a sweet little tag that can be used as a bookmark.
Tasty Treat Pocket
Tuck a Vanilla Chai Teabag into an envelope, and dress it up with a bit of lace, a belly band and a bit of ephemera. Wrap a chocolate treat in a scrap of designer paper and tuck it into the pocket. And you can even use a small scrap to dress up the honey stick while you are at it.
