RRR Pink and Purple Challenge: Nutcracker Sweet Card
Hello, Ribbon Lovers! Are you ready for a little Christmas in July? Today is the start of the Really Reasonable Ribbon Pink and Purple Challenge. And you know what? This really was a challenge for me! I had to search high and low in The Closet of Shame to find papers that would work for this theme. Thankfully, I remembered that I had some Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet Christmas papers tucked away. Problem solved!
This is the perfect little pocket card for your favorite ballerina princess. In my household, that would be Miss Sophie Grace, my darling granddaughter. She is a huge fan of The Nutcracker Suite, and I know she will swoon over this fun card.
It’s all about the ribbon, peeps! These gorgeous purple ribbons match up perfectly with the Nutcracker Sweet paper collection. And those pink layered Petaloo posies combined with pink feathers look just like tutus to me.
I used 4 ribbons from the July Ribbon Club Assortment on this card: Hyacinth Lattice Print Satin, Hyacinth Delicate Stitched Satin, 3/8″ Hyacinth Diamond Satin, and a tiny snippet of 3/8″ Wildflower Grosgrain Ribbon. For extra texture, I added some Ivory Burlap string to the mix.
Pockets Stuffed with Nutcracker Sweet!
I changed things up by making this into a side fold card. Two pockets were added to the inside and stuffed with Nutcracker Sweet goodies.
Just look at all these fun tags, postcards and ephemera pieces. So easy to add photos to the back, write little notes and capture Christmas memories with these sweet pieces.
Now it’s your turn! Create your own pink and purple themed project with ribbon or trim and upload it to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge BLOG. We’ll be popping by to take a look at your fabby creations and will leave you some love, too!
Thanks for stopping by! Now go get your craft on!
