Just a Hint of Fall for Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop: Paper Bag Pocket

Hello, Ribbon Lovers! We are nearly half way through the month of August and Fall is peeping around the corner. It’s time to break out the Really Reasonable Ribbon Club Colors of Autumn Assortment in our monthly RRR BLog Hop. You should be coming here from Karen’s lovely blog. If so, you are right on track. Without further ado, here’s just a hint of fall in a sweet little paper bag pocket.

October Afternoon’s Apple Cider collection makes a perfect playmate for the Colors of Autumn Ribbon Club Assortment. I just love seeing all these cute fall images inside my paper bag pocket!

I worked with Square in a Square Tangerine Satin, Turftan Brown Delicate Stitched Satin, Autumn Bold Diagonal Stripe Ribbon, and Tangerine Checkerboard Satin Ribbon.

Making a paper bag pockets is quick and easy. Start with a brown paper lunch bag, fold it up to make three little pockets, line the pockets with designer paper and stitch up the sides. Then stuff to the gills with all kinds of goodies!

Cute Little Paper Clip Embellies

Look at these super cute paper clip embellishments! I made them by punching out 2 half inch circles for each clip. Hot glue was added to the center of one circle and then it was placed on the backside of the paper clip. The other circle was pressed into the hot glue from the front side of the clip, making a neat platform for these adorable puffy stickers that came with the Apple Cider collection. They add a festive feel to the paper bag pocket, don’t you think? I’m sure I’ll be making more of these!

Cakewalk Happy Birthday Card

Cakewalk Happy Birthday Card for RRR

Hello, Ribbon Lovers! Our sweet l’il grandgirl celebrated her 4th birthday recently. Naturally, I had to make her a special card for her special day. So I pulled out my Really Reasonable Ribbon and worked up this super fun retro Cakewalk Happy Birthday Card to help her celebrate.

I love this retro color palette of teal and aqua. I carried it out by embellishing my card with cheery Red Swiss Dot Satin Ribbon topped with a White Iridescent Metallic String Bow. Simple punched circles are dressed up with a WOC Trellis Rose and some Red and White Sweetheart Blossoms.

To add texture, I lined the base panel with a strip of Melissa Natural Crocheted Lace. This combination of ribbon, lace and flowers really make this card birthday party ready!

Crazy for Christmas Mini Album for Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop

Hello Ribbon Lovers!

It’s time for another fabulous blog hop at Really Reasonable Ribbon. You should be hopping over from JENN’s fashionable and fabulous blog. If so you are right on track. You don’t want to miss a single stop along the way, because I’ve seen the previews, and there are some fabby projects for your viewing pleasure. I used the the fresh, fun ribbons in the October “Crazy for Christmas” Ribbon Club Assortment with retro papers from October Afternoon to make a massive Christmas mini album. Just check out these fabby ribbons!

These ribbons put the jolly in Holly Jolly! The retro vibe was perfect for some October Afternoon Christmas papers that I’ve had hoarded away for quite some time.

This 5.5″ x 7.5″ chunky album has chipboard covers, an “O” ring binding and is chock full of Christmas cheer.

Tabbed pages divide the album up into 4 sections. It’s filled to the brim with Christmas cheer and has loads of room for photos, recipes and journaling.

The colors in the Crazy for Christmas Ribbon Collection are a perfect match for these papers, and I’ve used them to accent layout pages throughout. Just add photos or journaling and you’ve got a great December Daily Album!

I kept the inside pretty simple, so that the photos can take center stage.

I love using ribbon as borders on pages.

A little stitching, a little square knot bow…adds such a festive feel to the album.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care!

I think I used every single smidge of ribbon and trim from this gorgeous Crazy for Christmas assortment.

This is great spot for recipes, cookie photos or baking day photos. The ribbon adds a lovely shine!

Room for more recipes and photos.

I keep a list of the cookies I make each year, and this would be a great spot to do it.

A little rusty metal star is glammed up with some Dazzling Diamonds Stickles on the final recipe page. Then we go into a section devoted to Christmas Morning.

Room for loads of photos! This snowy white Mary Crocheted Lace adds such great texture!

I’ve used it again here, along with sparkly icicles to give the page a real wintry feel. The opposite page has a pocket with tags that are topped with silky soft Emerald Checkerboard Satin Ribbon.

This page would be great for photos of kids on Santa’s lap!

And these pages have room for family photos.

I tucked a tiny piece of Mary Crocheted lace behind my tag and I also used it as a border. It just pops off the page.

Here’s a look at all the scrumptious ribbons tied onto the binding rings. So festive!

Oh Happy Day! Baby Girl Card

Oh Happy Day! Baby Girl Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop

Hello, Friends! It’s time for another fabulous Blog Hop with Really Reasonable Ribbon. You should be coming here from the always stylish Dana’s blog. I always love the Ribbon Club Assortments, but this one is extra gorgeous. I have used it on so many projects already. If you are not a member of the RRR Ribbon Club, you can find out all about it HERE. It’s just like Christmas every month when mine comes in the mail!

Some of you know that our 3rd granddaughter was born on March 31st. Lydia Elise has already added so much joy and love to our lives. I wanted to use these gorgeous ribbons to make a special “welcome to the world” baby girl card for her.

I used every single ribbon in this month’s assortment on this pretty pastel card. I created a pocket where I could tuck in my tags and an itty bitty photo of our itty bitty sweetheart.

This is a 5″ x 5.5″ top fold card. I used October Afternoon’s “Girl Talk” colllection , along with Stampin’ Up Pool Party Cardstock. Here’s a peeky at the inside.

Sweet and simple….the best things in life usually are!
