Prima Painted Floral Slimline Trifold Folio Tutorial for Make & Take Tuesday
Hello, Friends! I have a bee-you-tiful Prima Painted Floral Slimline Trifold Folio Tutorial for this week’s Make & Take Tuesday! It’s filled with all the things I love: beautiful papers, a fun shaker element, bees, florals, and eclectic embellishments from Reneabouquets. What could be better?
How about easy? Yes, this is such a simple folio to make! The base is just one sheet of 8 1/2″ x 11″ cardstock. Here’s how to put it together:
- First, score an 11″ x 8 1/2″ piece of heavy cardstock on the long side at 4 1/4″, 4 1/2″, 8 3/4″ and 9″.
- Next burnish the scored lines to form a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ slimline trifold folio with 1/4″ spines on the left and the right.
- Now cover it with your designer papers as desired.
That’s it! See? I told you it was easy!
Bee-you-tiful Reneabouquets Beautiful Board
I think my favorite thing about this whimsical folio is the Bee lady from Reneabouquets. She lends a special touch to the gold embossed shaker frame, doesn’t she? The frame (also from Reneabouquets) is heat embossed with Rich Gold Detail Embossing Powder. You’ll see how I put this all together in the video tutorial below.
A Peek Inside
Vibrant colors and patterns like these are so welcome in the wake of winter. You can watch the video tutorial to see how I turned that short flap into a flip page with a hidden pocket on the back side.
I think you are going to enjoy how quickly this folio comes together. You can dress it up more than I did, or you can keep it fairly clean and simple. It makes a great gift, too! And if you want to change things up, add a tea bag and a honey stick to the pocket on the left instead of a mini folio.
Prima Painted Floral Slimline Trifold Folio Tutorial on YouTube
If you’d like to see this fun little folio come together, I hope you’ll enjoy this basic video on YouTube. It will introduce you to Prima Painted Floral goodies. Then, I’ll show you how to prepare the folio base, line the pages, create the hidden pocket, and prepare the cover. I’ve left the details of what you add to your folio up to you, but I do show you my finished project and share lots of tips and tricks.
No Throwback Thursday This Week
There will be no Throwback Thursday this week, my friends. Instead, I will be hopping with the Spellbinders Social Media Team. We’re sharing loads of inspiration for March Club Kit Dies. I’ve prepared a beautiful spring card with pretty papers from Stamperia, so you’ll want to be sure to pop in and say hello.
The blog hop will also provide you with an opportunity to win a prize from Spellbinders! Even better!
You’ll find a linked supply list below this post.
Now go make something beautiful!
Cheerio,
kathy
