Hello Friends!  Do you have a furry friend who makes your world a better place?  If so, you are going to love this Authentique Companions Furry Friends Card Folio Tutorial.  This is not your ordinary pet themed paper collection.  It is filled with gorgeous patterns, heartfelt sentiments and the cutest images.  But don’t take my word for it.  Here’s a peek at what I’m talking about.

I used both the 12″ x 12 Companions Collection Kit and the 6″ x 6″ Paper Bundle to create these cutie patootie card  5 1/2″ x 7″ folios.  Honestly, every time I look at these focal images, I can’t help but grin.  And how about this color palette?  Isn’t it delightful?

Add mixed media touches to your cards by dry brushing with diluted ivory chalk paint.  I love the way this technique softens the edges and adds dimension to the gorgeous Little Birdie Flowers.  Machine stitching is another way to add texture and even pattern to a card.  Paint spatter is another great way to add mixed media effects to a card.  Even a little bit goes a long way.

This cute fussy cut border pops because it has 3 layers of waste chipboard on the back.  As you know, I like to cut up the Priority Mail boxes that my design team shipments come in to use in place of foam tape.  This works really well, and it saves me a ton of money, too.

Peek inside this card and you will find a lovely pair of pockets and an accordion fold folio.

You’ll learn how to make these adorable tab top inserts in the video tutorial.  They are made with scraps and have a fun magnetic closure.  Each one measures 2 3/4″ x 9″ when fully opened.  This is a great spot to add tiny photos, ephemera or journaling.

OK, this Siamese cat cracks me up.  It’s the glasses.  I wish I had a pair just like them.

This card is a mirror image of the first one.  I just changed out the flowers

The 4 1/4″ x 6 flip folio inside the pocket has more cute kitty images.  I love them all.
