Nana’s Kitchen Recipe Album Kit Reveal for Button Farm Club

Hello, Friends!  I’m excited to announce my Nana’s Kitchen Recipe Album Kit Reveal for Button Farm Club today.  This project has been in the works for several months now, so it’s a happy day to be able to finally share it with you.

My grandmother was a marvelous cook.  Every Sunday our family gathered at her home for Sunday dinner.  I can still remember walking along her front porch to the kitchen door.  As you approached, savory aromas would make your mouth water.  Baked ham, roast beef, turkey, chicken, or lamb…you never knew what the main course would be; you only knew it would be wonderful.  Our big, noisy family crowded around the dining room table as steaming bowls of mashed potatoes, gravy and vegetables were passed from plate to plate.  This ritual of  lingering over a shared meal, lively conversation, and laughter marked my life and gave me a strong identity.

That’s why I wanted to make this recipe album kit.  It’s an homage to my family roots and a tribute to those country women who knew how to spread a table and create special memories.

Keepsake Recipes

This is the perfect place to write down all your keepsake recipes.  The album is huge: 31 double sided 6×8 pages!  There’s room for loads of recipes, yes.  But there’s also room to add family photos and ephemera from the people you love.

This would make a wonderful Christmas gift for your children, grandchildren or even for yourself.

Easy Pocket Pages

I chose this pocket page album design because it is so easy to work with.  The binding system installs in seconds, and the page protectors will keep your recipes safe from kitchen spills and spatters.

Digital Stamps and Sentiments

Once again, I’ve designed a set of digital stamps and sentiments to add to the value and beauty of this kit.  You’ll receive (2) 8 1/2″ x 11″ printed sheets of stamps in your kit.  But I think Laura is also going to make the stamp set available as a digital download in the store.

Everything about this nostalgic “made from scratch” recipe album is beautiful.  I hope you will love it as much as I do.

Sweet Summertime Celebration Recipe Folio

Carta Bella God Bless America Lemonade Recipe Folio by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Sweet Summertime Celebration Recipe Folio for the Really Reasonable Ribbon May Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  Today I have a Sweet Summertime Celebration Recipe Folio as my inspiration project for the Really Reasonable Ribbon May 2022 Blog Hop.  You should be coming here from Gloria’s lovely blog.  Summer is peeking around the corner with all kinds of reasons to celebrate the Red, White and Blue!  And this month’s Patriotic Ribbon Club Assortment is here to help you get your craft on!  Take a peek:

Red, White and Blue always looks fabulous together.  You think maybe our Founding Fathers knew what they were doing when they selected these colors for our beautiful American flag?

Carta Bella God Bless America Summertime Celebration Recipe Folio

I would probably never have thought to use lemonade as a key “ingredient” for a patriotic paper collection, but I’m so glad that Carta Bella did!  When they added that pop of yellow to their God Bless America collection, it really juiced things up!  Look at all the ways I paired up the Ribbon Club Assortment with this festive paper collection:

You can dress up the cut out banner with ivory burlap string and bitty bows just for fun, too!

A Peek Inside

The lemon images made me decide to add a few of my favorite summertime lemon recipes to the folio.  First, I created a side pocket with a pull out folio situated on top.  I held this together with another piece of the Red, White and Blue Stripe Satin from the Club Assortment.

Our oldest granddaughter has developed a real passion for cooking and baking, so I thought she would have fun with these  tried and true recipes.  The little house folio holds my famous Strawberry Lemonade recipe.  And no summer is complete without a pan of Lemon Love Note bar cookies!  Yum!

This accordion style folio has room for summertime pictures, too!

We always have a big family 4th of July party, and now she’ll have a place to keep the photos!

The back side of the accordion mechanism has two more of my favorite summertime lemon recipes.

Sophie spotted the folio as soon as she stepped into my studio last week.  She was tickled pink when I told her that it was meant for her.  But I thought  you would enjoy seeing it, too.

On With the Hop!

Now hop on over and see what paper pretties Cheryl has prepared for you.  Be sure to visit the RRR Blog and answer Bonnie’s Question of the Month so you can be entered into the drawing for a FREE Ribbon Club Assortment!

If you’re not a member of the Ribbon Club, I highly recommend it!  It’s like getting a birthday present every single month of the year.  The assortments give you a chance to try out and use a lot of different types and styles of ribbon.  I’ve discovered so many of my personal favorites from the Ribbon Club Assortments.  You can find out how to sign up HERE.

Okay, friends, enjoy the rest of the hop!  I’ve added a linked supply list below this post.

Thanks for stopping by!

Life Is What You Bake It Recipe Folio

Country Craft Creations What's Cooking Recipe Card Folio by Kathy Clement Photo 01

Life is What You Bake It Waterfall Recipe Folio for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Friends!  Some days I feel just like the harried cook on the cover of this Life is What You Bake it Recipe Folio.  How about you?  It usually happens when I’ve decided to get “just one more thing” done in the studio…and then suddenly, it’s time to eat–but dinner is not ready!  Uh-oh!  Thankfully after almost 46 years of fixing supper, I have a trusty repertoire of fast and good meals tucked away in my noggin.  It never hurt, however, to have them written down for easy reference.  So I designed this clever little folio to house those tried and true, life-saving recipes.

Country Craft Creations What's Cooking Recipe Card Folio by Kathy Clement Photo 01

Really Reasonable Ribbon Poppy Red Taffeta Ribbon is the perfect playmate for these Country Craft Creations What’s Cooking papers.  The red and aqua color palette is perfectly retro.  I  had so much fun decorating the cover of this 7 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ x 1″ folio.

I dug through my stash of ribbons and found this Sheer Cherry Red Organza, which works perfectly with the Poppy Red Taffeta and the paper collection.  Then I found all sorts of wonderful little doo-dads to dress up the cover.

I even found a set of miniature flatware and a big ole’ vintage button to add to the party!

A Peek Inside

The recipes are housed inside a double waterfall feature.  Top each waterfall with a string tie envelope for even more storage.

The recipe cards that go with this paper collection are absolute perfection!

Each side of the folio has 3 pocket pages with 2 recipe cards tucked inside.  There’s plenty of room for more cards in each pocket, too.

Create a pocket behind each waterfall to hold a 4 3/4″ x 5″ folio.  This is a great place to add another recipe, or photos of the family members who provided them.

I think this type of folio would be a great gift at a bridal shower.  Each person in attendance could write down her favorite “tried and true” recipe for the bride to be.

I know we all use online sources for recipes these days.  But you know what?  Sometimes a website is down, or a blog stops publishing.  Then you wish you had taken the time to put that precious recipe down on paper!  Am I right?

I believe it’s time for me to make myself a recipe album.  Some of my cookbooks are literally falling apart.  Over the holidays, I realized what a jumble my recipes are.  So one of my goals for 2022 is to get them all in order.  I’ll keep you posted on how that project goes.

Thanks for stopping by!
