Throwback Thursday: Authentique Saucy Recipe Folio Tutorial

Hello, Friends! I’ve cooked up something special in this Authentique Saucy Recipe Folio Tutorial for Throwback Thursday! With the wintry weather all around the nation, this cheery retro paper collection from 2017 is just what we need to warm the cockles of our hearts!

I think you will be delighted at how easy it is to make this one sheet wonder. All you need is one sheet of 8 1/2″ x 11″ heavy kraft cardstock (110#) to make the base. The decorative belly band was made with scraps left over from previous card making pursuits.

Nothing but sunshine and happiness here! The video tutorial below will walk you through the easy steps for making the base, belly band, waterfall mechanism, box pocket and folio inserts.

A Peek Inside

How fun would it be to make this as a Mother’s Day gift? Fill it up with your family heritage recipes and you’ve made something really special! Or, give it as a gift to a child who is moving into his/her first apartment. You could even tuck a little grocery store gift card into the pocket along with the recipes.

TIP: Add paper clips to the pages of the waterfall mechanism so that recipe cards can be slipped into place. Then, when you want to cook, you can just slide the recipe card out folio and keep the rest of the folio out of the mess!

The box pocket design on this 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ folio provides even more room for favorite recipes.
