Stamperia Threads Banner Tutorial for April 2024 Banner of the Month

Hello, Friends!  It’s Wonderful Wednesday, and I have a lovely Stamperia Threads Banner Tutorial to share with you.  This is our April 2024 Banner of the Month, and I think you’re going to love how soft and feminine it is.  The central pennant features a beautiful Reneabouquets floral wreath shaker frame.  Let’s dig in and take a closer look, shall we?

This is a great big banner, with 7 pennants and lots of dimension.  I’ve used 3 different dies to create the pennant bases: a stitched banner die, Sizzix House/Pocket Stitchlets Die, and Graphic 45 Ivory Square Tags.  The different shapes of the banner make it more interesting, but if you prefer everything to be the same size and shape, you can absolutely do it that way, too.

Buttons and Bows

Vintage buttons play a big role in the design of this banner.  It was so much fun to dig through my stash and pull out buttons that matched the color palette of this lovely paper collection.

TIP:  Buttons that are threaded will adhere better to a project.  So even though it takes a little time to thread all those pretty buttons, it’s worth it!

There’s also a lot of texture in this banner design thanks to all the various trims and ribbons.  Vintage doilies found a new home, too.

Stitch Graphic 45 tags upside down onto your ribbon header to create a really pretty pennant edge.  Then hang some sewing themed charms from the grommet to really make those tags stand out!

Spellbinders Happy Stitching with Stamperia Threads Sewing Themed Card and Project Share

Hello, Friends!  I love a good sewing themed project, so I could not resist popping in to share this Spellbinders Happy Stitching Card.  It’s made with the Spellbinders April Clear Stamp and Die of the Month Club Kit.  Paired up with Stamperia Threads papers and the Spellbinders Wax Seal of the Month, it’s just perfect for Mother’s Day, or as a gift for your favorite seamstress.

You Make Me Sew Happy

My mom was an amazing seamstress, so any time I see sewing themed papers or stamps, I’m all over it!  The “Happy Stitching” Club Kit is loaded with wonderful sewing themed sentiments and images.  The sweet sentiments and the darling cross stitched hearts on this card come from the kit.  You  know what’s really nice?  The dies match, so they are super easy to cut out.

Do  you spy that sparkly pink card layer?  That’s a piece of the new Spellbinders Jewel Tone Glitter Cardstock.  It adds a lovely bit of sparkle to the card composition.  (And, my mom would have loved it!)

TIP:  Amp up the sewing theme by  threading a bit of lace around the waist of the dress mannequin.

TIP:  Make a stamped image 3-D by adding a small button to the center of each cross stitched heart.

A Peek Inside

Carry the sewing theme to the inside of the card by adding all sorts of goodies and stamped images.  Do you spy the sweet “handmade” scissors on the pocket?  That’s one of the adorable stamps in the Club Kit.  Stamp it on pink cardstock, then cut it out with the matching die.  So quick and easy to do, but it adds so much to the overall design.

Stitch up a quick bookmark, top it with a bit of lace and vintage button, then stamp another sentiment and cross stitched heart at the base.  Now tuck it into a little pocket on the flap page.  This is a great way to use up paper scraps.

More Sewing Themed Treats

Surprise!  There’s another pocket stashed behind the flap page.  Top it with a bit of burlap ribbon. Stamp it with a row of cross stitched hearts and another cute sentiment, then tuck another treat inside the small pocket.

This one’s a magnet!  Place a magnetic disk on the back of the chipboard piece, then back it with a scrap of cardstock.  Use the Cross Stitched Heart Wax Seal of the Month to create the perfect embellishment.  Then add a bit of sparkle with Spellbinders Essential Gems.

Last but not least, tuck a little  homemade button card and spool of ribbon into the bottom pocket.  Dress the button card up with another stamped sentiment to make it really special.  And how easy is it to create a little notecard when you stamp those cross stitched hearts onto a scrap of pink cardstock?
