Stamperia Sweety Treat Tags Creativity Kit Release for The Button Farm Club

Hello, Friends!  I have been patiently waiting to share this Stamperia Sweety Treat Tags Creativity Kit with you, and today is the big day!  Hooray!  This treat tag and interactive card kit is my late4st release for The Button Farm Club.  It’s been weeks and weeks since I started the plan for this kit.  But I finally was able to bring this idea to life and I am so happy with the way it turned out.

Sweety Treat Tag Kit by Kathy Clement Photo 01

The idea was to create a kit that would work for Valentine’s Day or Birthdays, or any occasion when you wanted to send someone a special little gift.  The kit contains 6 pocket-style treat tags dressed up for a party with Stamperia’s darling Sweety collection.

Sweety Treat Tags with Tea Party in a Box by Kathy Clement Photo 01

Each little treat tag holds one of my signature Tea Party in a Box surprises.  The kit comes with all the goodies for the box: individually wrapped tea bag, Ghirardelli Chocolate, Biscoff Cookies, Honey Stick, and a Mini Tasting Spoon.  We dress them up with designer papers, then add in a darling little tag and mini note card to sweeten the deal.

Can you see how much fun these will be to give as gifts?  Or, dress up the table setting at a tea party or birthday party?

Interactive Cards

The kit also contains supplies and instructions for these interactive cards.  Although these cards look complicated to make, the process is actually quite simple when broken down into steps.

This clever Kinetic Waterfall Card is a prime example: once you learn how simple it is to create the waterfall mechanism, you’ll be able to add a fun element to future cards.

The interior of all the cards is fully decorated, too.  Naturally, you’ll find a pocket, because that is how I roll!

This stack of teacups makes my tea loving heart happy all by itself.

But when you open the card to find this pop up feature…well, I’m over the moon!

The tutorials in this kit contain simple, sneaky tricks that I’ve learned in my card making journey.  These techniques will help you make the most of your papers, elevate your card designs and help you gain skill and confidence.

Fun fold cards are aptly named because they are so rewarding and enjoyable to make.

This fancy flap card is just loaded with sweet surprises!  You can see them all in the video tour below.

Spellbinders July 2020 Club Kits Blog Hop

Stamperia Sweety Pop Up Card for Spellbinders July 2020 Club Kits Blog Hop APG Fanfare Die by Kathy Clement Kathy by Design Photo 01

Spellbinders July 2020 Club Kits Blog Hop: Amazing Paper Grace Fanfare Die

Hello, Friends!  Welcome to the Spellbinders July 2020 Club Kits Blog Hop.  You should be coming here from Bibi’s blog.  Today I’m featuring the Fanfare Die from the Amazing Paper Grace Club Kit.  This wonderfully versatile set contains 8 dies.

I shared another project made with the Fanfare dies earlier this month.  You can find that HERE.   Today I have 2 more Fanfare projects to share with you, both made with Stamperia’s new Sweety Collection.

APG Fanfare Cupcake Doily Pop Up Card

To make the dimensional doily for this 6×6 pop up card, do the following:

  • First, die cut 14 of the smaller ornament pieces from cream cardstock.
  • Emboss each piece as you cut it by using the embossing mat sandwich option for your die cutting machine.
  • Next, align the center of 7 die cut/embossed ornaments.  Secure them with a small brad in the center.
  • Then fan out the individual “petals” to create a doily.
  • Repeat the above process with the remaining 7 die cuts.
  • Now gently fold each “petal” from the tip to the base to create extra dimension.
  • Finally, adhere the two doily layers together with foam squares so that the edges are staggered.

When you attach the chipboard cupcake image in the center of the doily, you will need to add double layers of foam squares or waste chipboard to hold it in place as well.

Now die cut some flower layers from your scraps and use these to adorn your card front.

A Peek Inside

Create a pop up scene inside your card.  (I have a tutorial made with another paper collection that shows how to do this.  You can find that tutorial HERE.)

Create a little fold down message flap on the base of the card.

This is a great place to write a personal message or even tuck in a gift card.

Fanfare Shaker Card

The Fanfare Frame and swirl insert are perfect for making elegant shaker cards.

  • First, die cut 2 frames/inserts from cream cardstock.
  • Next, offset the layers and adhere them together.  This creates a sort of drop shadow effect as well as strengthens the die cut frame.
  • Next, use only the frame die to cut a clear cardstock (acetate sheet) backer for the shaker frame.
  • Apply Dries Clear Adhesive to the back of the shaker frame.  Spread this out with your finger or a small paintbrush.  This will keep the glue from oozing out onto the clear cardstock.
  • Now adhere the clear frame to the back of the die cut frame.
  • Now attach 3 layers of 1/8″ foam strips to the back of the shaker frame.
  • Fussy cut the sentiment from the paper collection and adhere to the card base.
  • Now place your shaker mix on the card base cover with the shaker frame.  Press gently to seal.

Adorn with flowers, ribbon and a Reneabouquets dragonfly charm.

A Peek Inside

This is one of my “Tea Party in a Box” cards.  Tuck an individually wrapped tea bag dressed up with designer paper scraps and a matching honey stick into the small pocket on top.

Then add a bookmark, chocolate treat and a note card to the pocket on the bottom. Decorate the note card with the Fanfare die cut and ornament pull tab.

Hello Sweety! Tall and Skinny Box Card

Stamperia Sweety Tall and Skinny Box Card by Kathy Clement Kathy by Design Photo 01
Hello Sweety!  Stamperia Sweety Tall and Skinny Box Card

Hello, Friends!  Or should I say Hello Sweety?  Because today I have a tall and skinny box card made with Stamperia’s new Sweety collection to share with you!  Ooh la la!  This collection is divine, my friends!  I almost passed it by, but then one of my regular patrons in my Etsy shop requested a custom order made with these darling papers.  So into my shopping cart it went, and I am so glad!  This lovely little pink confection is all packaged up and on its way, but I loved it so much, I just had to share it with you.  It’s always nice to start your Monday off with something sweet, don’t you think?

This is a 4″ x 8 1/4″ side fold card base with a 1/2″ spine.  Layer the designer papers up with some Reneabouquets Beautiful Board, Printed Beautiful Board, and fussy cut teacups to create lots of depth and dimension.

Little Birdie Flowers and gauzy ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon add even more texture and a dreamy element to the card design.  My favorite element is the little silver spoon filled with pink “sugar.”  What’s yours?

A Peek Inside

Create a box pocket on the side to hold some little treasures.

This round magnet and lacy bookmark turn the card into a gift.  So much sweetness!

The Week Ahead

So that’s it for me this morning!  I’ll be sharing more Sweety projects soon.  But now I have to go get out of my jammies and get busy creating my next Button Farm Kit.  Do you want a hint? Well…it is Christmas in July this month!   I haven’t done a card kit in quite a while.  And Authentique paper has a gorgeous new Christmas collection out.  That’s three hints!  I bet you know where I’m headed.

So if I’m a bit scarce this week, you know what I ‘m up to.  Putting these kits together takes all my attention and about 4 full work days to complete.  That means no Throwback Thursday this week, unless I get this kit finished in record time,  Hey, anything can happen!

I have a couple of posts scheduled to go live later this week…both tutorials, so that should keep you busy!  Look for the supply list for this project below.

Thanks for stopping by!
